the true alpha thing is kind of vague in show which might be part of why its so hard to understand. everybodys kinda got their own idea of how it works so this is my understanding.
for any alphas to exist, there has to have been a few true ones and we know werewolves have a huge psychological aspect and that their shifting is a reflection of self. so i think its largely based on a pack, having the strength of will to build and lead that pack, and that pack looking to you as their leader.
i think scott became a true alpha just because thats what he is and his 'reflection' showed it. hes not a magical chosen one, hes a leader, and pack leaders are alphas, so he became one.
its not about strength. its not about morals. its about who you are, just like every other aspect of being a werewolf.
i like hearing other interpretations as well though. like i said, its kinda vague so theres a lot of ways to look at it.
like you just know peter bitch ass parasite hale goes around telling everyone who will listen that it was HIS bite that turned True Alpha Scott McCall like that little wiener absolutely milks his accidental contribution to a fate that is in all ways bigger and better than his own
We can all admit that Kira from Teen Wolf was nerfed; if she'd been written well & more in accordance w/ kitsune myths, she would've gotten more powerful than Scott & Co., after training & getting the hang of her powers (& in Teen Wolf, electricity is dangerous to several supernatural creatures, which included werewolves, werecoyotes & kanimas, so yeah...)
Who'd win in a fight with a lightning-wielding Kitsune who has good combat skills & a sharp mind?
A Werewolf or Werecoyote (despite being vulnerable to electricity)
A hunter (who's human, with no supernatural abilities)
A Druid
A Banshee
A Hellhound
An Augmented Alpha Werewolf who's in a Alpha Pack
A combination of those listed above
All of the above, united & hell-bent on winning
An older, more powerful Kitsune
A Darach
A Chimera
A Plague Doctor
Note: I've haven't finished watching Teen Wolf, so creatures & monsters from Season 6 & some episodes of Season 5 aren't included.
I trust him completely

I'm a feminist, obviously.
But I wouldn't really mind HIM saving me..
