What is your total word count on AO3?
About 87 900. A lot of was written years ago during high school when I fell hard into fandoms. Well I recently got back into it and it’s been very fun.
How often do you write?
It’s speckled. Usually in the beginning of story I write obsessively as often as I can then it dies off. I (think) i try every week at least but with uni rolling around it’s bound to change.
Do you have a routine for writing?
Not really. Usually they start from an idea that I obsess with and mull over for a while. Then I outline with a crapload of dot points and pictures for references. I chuck any other ideas and discarded bits of writing that I like but doesn’t fit the scene at the bottom of the doc.
I plan only a bit ahead and honestly sometimes I don’t know where my story is going and it takes a while of rereading and taking a break before getting back into it.
I write in a spill and go back to edit and reedit. This gets particularly painful sometimes, especially if I want to express something in a particular way but can’t find the words to do so.
If I have a beta I run it through them before doing more edits and posting.
What are your favorite kinks/ tropes/ pairings?
Kinks: tension and pining. Love that can’t be. Angst. Sugar daddies. Slow burn.
Tropes: college AUs, coffee and flower shops AUs
Pairings: Soukoku, Zosan + the countless brotps
Do you have a favorite fic of yours?
Not really. I like them for different reasons and I know the earlier ones are lame but they still hold a special place.
Your fic with the most kudos?
Soul Exchange- the most recent one I’m still working on. I’m pretty proud of it and I hope it shows my growth in writing compared to the older ones.
Anything you don’t like about your writing?
Grammar, overly-long sentences, punctuation.
I tend to forget location descriptions and used to love using dialogue- probably too much.
Now something you do like (about your writing)?
Having those moments where the words fit what you want. For me i think they tend to be dramatic one word moments.
