Have you ever walked around singing a song you made up about how you just wish an attractive person would come find you and say nice things to you?
Have you ever sang it out in public where anybody could hear you?
Have you sang it out in public where anybody could hear you—while wearing stained and ripped clothes that don’t fit, looking like you haven’t showered in three days? Did you still sing that cringily oversharing, too-vulnerable song you wrote, out in front of everybody like that?
How bout, did it occur to you to sing that song, not ironically, but from the heart—did it occur to you to sing that song out in public specifically while you were picking chewed gum up off the sidewalk because your verbally abusive boss forced you to? Is that the moment you picked to sing your cringe song about the topic dearest to your heart dressed like a dumpster?
No?
You’ve never done something like that? Even approaching that?
Well, why not?
Because who would do that, right? Someone insane. You don’t get yelled at by your boss to go touch disgusting things in front of everybody while looking your worst, in front of everybody—and then feel like singing. You certainly wouldn’t be thinking about your heart’s most special goal, the dream you visit in your head to give you hope. You wouldn’t be thinking about that, let alone singing it—let alone singing it then and there, in those circumstances. Let alone WHERE ANYONE COULD HEAR YOU. HEAR YOU, warbling out some cringe song that’s too deep around strangers, which might cause them to LOOK at you, unwashed and looking homeless while you do a really disgusting task.
…But you know who would?
Snow White would sing the cringe song about her most intimate desire while dressed in rags and picking up gum off the sidewalk even though her boss just yelled at her and forced her into the task. She’d go out to pick up that gum, and she’d do it without crying. Her body would be dressed in dumpster clothes and kneeling to pick up pre-chewed plastic with her bare fingers, but her mind would be thinking about someone out there being nice to her. And she’d sing about it. Then and there. Where everyone can see?
Why?
Because she doesn’t care what they think. Not in a “I’ve chosen to toss my head and smirk and only care about what I THINK” sort of way. But in a way that has nothing about her own heart or fondest desires to be insecure about—doesn’t even notice her own appearance—so it does not occur to her to think about what other people think of her.
That’s what I mean when I say, people do not understand—it is Snow White’s pure innocence that is her superpower. Not one insecure vibe in her psyche. She couldn’t be self-protective even if she wanted to be. She couldn’t be defensive even if she had every reason to be—and she has every reason to be.
Wouldn’t it be nice to be that completely unaware of yourself? So completely opposite of self-absorbed? Like an eternal kid-who-doesn’t-know-how-to-be-embarassed? Weightless? Free, focused on what good things might be just around the corner every day, helping others like it’s first-nature, without any regret or misgivings?
…And by the way, that’s the Snow White that the Prince met, and fell in love with.
Thought I’d bring a bast from the past to share with you all!

Franklin Richards must be protected at all costs in Doomsday. He is a child. He does not need to be suffering. He should be with his family, reading The Very Hungry Caterpillar and watching the Fantastic Four cartoon.
At least he won't remember his mom temporarily dying (maybe nothing in Doomsday since he's only four)
