A short time ago, I found that I had been invited to a wedding event by my closest friend (a true gentleman) who indeed knows how a lady should be treated. The invite came as a pleasant surprise, to which I was honoured and delighted to acknowledge.
I was already aware his attire was of the smartest kind he had made every effort on making sure his appearance was indeed pristine.
I know that it would be rude to show up by his side not showing the same level of standards that had been set, so I too had made the effort on even minor details, for example the tie, shirt and pocket square all matched to a favourable colour within his suit.
So I had found out a matching colour dress and applied small but delicate accessorise to not overdue my efforts but to show that I had too taken the same amount of care in my appearance and to also acknowledge how much effort I had noticed that he too had made.
My friend had arraigned transportation to the event, he even paid me a compliment on how well dressed I was, I too paid a compliment back not right away but in my own time so he knew it was genuine.
I can honestly say that I have never been treated so properly in my life, other than when I am with this said person. He made sure never to leave me out of conversation or any part of the night, I was truly made to feel like the lady I am.
I hope that he feels the same way too in the matter of fact that a lady always knows how to treat a true gentleman. We had the most perfect evening, leaving at an appropriate time; his endeavours were shown right into the next day. He sent a check up message, to see that I was well. To complete the event I sent a letter of thanks for the invitation, the entire night and how grateful I was to have spent the evening at his side as a guest to the wedding.
As I attended the wedding as a guest it may have came as a surprise to the bride and groom, so I made a small note of thanks to them both for letting me attend their evening party, and how grateful I was for them to let me share in their happy momentous occasion.
It will be a special memory that I hope to treasure for eternity.
