They say that like True Sight, there is True hearing. Like the Sight it allows you to see what's really there, but Sight strips away the layers they've put on, Hearing allows one to sense the deeper artistry behind the words. To perceive lies told by humans (though not necessarily understand the truth), and based on how much Hearing one has it can give varying degrees of insight into ones intentions. Hearing should be treated with caution, like Sight. Both are dangerous, never assume safety.

Truth, beneath the surface

I am a little stupid about telling the truth. It can get in the way of successful conversation at times. Most especially in those situations of opening and closing conversations. People don't typically ask you in order to really have you share the details of "How're you doing?" (I do, really, you can tell me). So I've come up with a way of reply that holds the truth in it in such a way that you can overlook it if you wish. As Paul was leaving the other day, he told me, "Keep yourself out of trouble." I asked him, in reply, "but what if trouble is the reason I've been sent?" Which sounds like a clever turn, a witticism, a laugh to share. If that's what you want it to be. Paul understands though, the man is Old Corps, and even his wife calls him Gunny. He comes back over close so we can talk without having to include those who don't want to understand, and says, "then you get your job done and keep everyone else out of trouble." Aye, aye, Gunny.
