Sometimes, if we keep mistaking having for being, we feel satisfied.  But this lasts only until we realize that instead of being our true selves, we are merely playing a part others want us to play.  By gaining awareness of the painful void inside, we begin the search that will lead us, not to the mythical Truth, but to a genuine truthfulness.
