Guitar, mandola, ukulele etc., are tags that don't do handmade instruments justice. So out of love for their start, completion, and their stories of travel and transient life instruments have, I decided to start giving these instruments true given names. Only the third or fourth instrument with a true given name, this one of the many pieces of Sateen, named after it's composition of yellow heart. As starts go, the work I'm involved in is something of a radially-broken-mixed-wood, rosette. Seems fitting for Sateen. #truegivennames #wavesunginstruments #redwood #designasyougo
