I hold no hesitation, no reservation, no lies in saying that I love you. I have not yet mustered the courage to utter this truth within your presence, but I hold it to be beyond doubt nonetheless. Your strength of will and of mind is far superior to mine. I feel dwarfed by your presence and awed by your beauty. With you at my side, I am at peace, I am whole. I do not feel as though I am clinging to the flotsam and jetsam of a shattered life in an effort to seem strong for a younger sibling. I feel strong. You make me strong.

I have not strayed too far, but I thought to leave you this note to spare you an unnecessary unease. I have gone in search of another blanket, I will be back momentarily. It is my hope that you are comfortable as you are, as it was my intent to spend the day abed with you. I have ensured that none will bother us, and that we are free to do as we wish.
