Ed Sheeran is becoming this year’s one to watch and with his first single ‘The A Team’ firmly sticking in the top 10 for 3 months and being the highest charting UK debut single this year, a mobo nomination under his belt and famous fans such as Elton John and Hollywood star Jamie Fox, it is easy to see why.
Ed’s second single ‘You Need Me, I Don’t Need You’ is out this week, currently sitting at No.4 on the iTunes chart, and all eyes will be watching where it charts on Sunday. As with ‘The A Team’, this single brings remixes from some of the UK’s top DJ’s, MCs and producers, one of which has been produced by Dubstep collective True Tiger. The remix features two of London’s most sought after young MCs, South Londoner Dot Rotten and West Londoner Scrufizzer, who collectively take the track in a whole new direction with impressive results. The official video has just been released and it is exactly what you would hope for, a classic urban warehouse, dark visuals with Dot and Scrufizzer spitting vocals and Ed holding his own on the vocals.
