Her true face. ✨ Throughout history the witch has been subject to every prejudice of the age. She was old and ugly when we wanted someone to place blame. She was beautiful and tempting when we wanted an excuse for man’s behaviors. She walked hand in hand with the devil when religious fanatics wanted an enemy. The list goes on and on. The witch has existed since humanity began because in truth, she is the empowered woman; strong, unafraid, and unapologetic, in tune with nature, gentle when a nurturing touch is needed and stone cold when crossed or betrayed. She is feared because she is strong. The witch has absorbed so many different stereotypes throughout thousands of years and yet, it is this very compilation that makes her even more beautiful to me.
