So an interesting thing happened last night… Trulix persuaded me to do some crazy stuff. You see, most of my time sitting behind my PC in my mancave of masculine masculinity is spent on making this site more awesome and well… Dominion. However, without any hesitation Trulix uttered these words:
"Come on dude! You can't play Dominion all the time, can you?"
The above quote is the very thing that instigated the brutal murder of our sleep. Please allow me to clarify. I’ve had an intense relation with World of Warcraft. It was a social thing for me as most of my friends played and instead of hitting the town at night we’d hit Blizzards server filling their bank accounts further and further as time passed and our monthly subscriptions piled up… At some point, I looked back after months of grinding and decided that, well, I wanted my life back. So I said goodbye to WoW and the MMORPG genre and made a promise to myself that if I were to ever play an MMORPG again I would take some sucker down with me.
But I digress… Last night Trulix wanted to play Wurm Online and came begging to me to be his sucker. Somehow sinning always seems better if you share the guilty pleasure with someone else. I picked up RIFT many, many months ago when I’ve read this review and was instantly intrigued by that game. I’ve always wanted to partake in an MMORPG that would allow for more of a casual play, logging on whenever and on top of that it had to offer something different then mindless grinding. Needless to say, RIFT provides. But in all the months that passed since said purchase I’ve never found my sucker.
So, when Trulix came to me I did a Marlon Brando impression as best i could and told him I had an offer for him he couldn’t refuse… I would be his sucker if he would agree to be mine. We quickly made the deal and gave in to our inner demons that had been lurking in us for so long. Now, Trulix and I aren’t the types to do things half assed preperations had to be made.
"I just need to make a quick trip to the store" I uttered.
Inspired by my intentions to stock enough supplies to survive a zombie plague Trulix decided to follow suit and grab his fair share of gaming fuel. Judging by the burning sensation in my eyes as I am typing this I guess we've playing enough.
To anyone reading this. Please release me from the spell, and invite me for some Dominion games. Bring me back, I need my sleep Q.Q
