and a separate, even bigger thank you to my wonderful co admins ! there isn’t a way in hell that this place would be standing without your efforts. i am extremely grateful to have a group of people i can trust with my baby, as well as have absurd conversations with day in & day out. i’m really glad i’ve met you guys ! grace, you know you’re my best friend in the whole world, i don’t even need to gush about you. you know how much i adore you. caro, this last year of getting to know you has been such a pleasure and i’m so glad that we’ve never really lost contact. breezy, you’re such a strong, resilient little warrior and i am in awe of that every single day. and vee, you’re brand new to the gang, but you’re already a keeper because u laugh at my jokes when no one else will admit how funny i am. also you’re sweet as hell, thank you for joining the team. thank you all for being in my life and for helping me run such a wonderful group.

it’s been brought to our attention that our current reserve system is a little off putting, so we’re going to alter it just a little. basically, they’re similar to acceptances now — you have to wait 24 hours after your last acceptance to do it. someone had a very good point that by allow reserves to take place right after you’re accepted, we’re essentially giving muns a second acceptance, & when roles are reopened there’s less of a fair opportunity for someone to grab a role. 

we’ve also as mods noticed that not everyone is adhering to the ‘go ic within 48 hours’ rule we have. it’s fine, we’re totally okay with leniency, but if muns are reserving roles & then not even going ic on the one they just got, the leniency becomes an issue. so we think this alteration will keep this issue from becoming a problem.

so 24 hours after you’re accepted, you’re allowed reserve a muse, but not before. ( you can still apply for a new muse after 48 hours, and reserves still last 48 hours. this has not changed. ) we totally respect if this feels unnecessary, but it’s just a trial basis, and we want to make sure we’re doing everything we can to make sure this group has an ooc environment where everyone feels comfortable. so if you don’t like it, that’s within your right, but please respect this trial run.

i’m going to try my hardest to at least tackle some of the inbox ( if not completely empty it ), but in case i don’t... we have apps for eddie kaspbrak, heather mcnamara, jade west, harry potter, and daenerys targaryen &&& fc suggestions for tessa young and haley james.

i just wanted to thank everyone for being so patient with us. we really try our best to not let your questions and apps sit for too long, but life happens ! however, be on the lookout for our next activity check !! ( coming soon to a dash near you... )

okay ! tonight i searched and found around 14 starters, starter calls, and plot calls that were never linked to us in our submit, and thus never made it on our trumanextras blog. 

i understand that it’s not the most natural thing to do ! for years, we’ve been able to rp on tumblr without needing to do extra stuff. stuff in the tag, stayed in the tag. but this hasn’t been the case with tumblr since it did away with n*s*f*w content. 

the tags are very frequently scrubbed, cleared, and they appear different to everybody thanks to the new algorithm. thus, it is vital that you submit the links to us ! 

get in the habit of doing it, then get in the habit of checking that blog for stuff to like or reply to. that way, you have a better chance at getting more interaction. 

if no one can find your post, you may get the wrong idea about how welcome you are here, and it could hinder your experience in this group. or, alternatively, you may not find stuff to reply to and appear as though you’re bubble roleplaying by mistake. neither are great options ! p.s. it’s also a good idea to send people the closed starters you write for them, as activity tabs are very flaky now, too.

this obviously doesn’t do anything helpful for anyone. you can’t really be involved with the group if you can’t find starters, or calls - and alternative, you can’t really be involved if people can’t also find yours. so please, follow our rules !

New Mod Alert !

Hello my baby ! Hello my honey ! 

Let me kindly start by introducing myself. I’m one of the new co-mods and you can call me MOD ARI ! Or MOD ARIANA ! I’m a type to be on a good chunk of the time, if I’m not working...I’ll usually be around here to answer what I can. 

Huge thank you for the other Mods for taking a chance on me and bringing me in to help out where I can. This group is incredible, the members already make this so worth while. I hope my love for you guys will show just as much as the other mods. 

While I’m on, feel free to shoot some questions or any apps that you may have. I feel like I have a few more hours in me. 

( p.s...I’m so excited about this, I may or may not be crying )

reminder post about bubble roleplaying !!

as we strive to be a welcoming multi-fandom group, we aim to avoid bubble rping as much as possible ! that means branching out to connections and threads outside your characters’ established fandoms. 

we want to see harry potter characters practicing magic with the witches from american horror story and legacies ! we want the it kids to bond with the stranger things kids ! we want cross-fandom hi-jinks !! shenanigans !! maybe even some inter-fandom make out sessions, hmmm ??? that’s the beauty of multi-fandom right !?!

avoiding bubble rping also means interacting outside your usual partners !! so if you catch yourself interacting with the same people all the time, reach out to someone new ! make new connections ! diversify your portfolio !

REGARDING CO ADMINS !

okay, so. we are sooo touched to have receive interest in being a part of team truman ! seriously, the fact that anybody cares enough about this place to want to help.. man.. my heart is up in the sky. that being said, we are all incredibly protective of this group - but it’s not for no reason, or because we don’t trust anybody. it’s really not like that. but we’ve been burned really bad in the past and it really broke our hearts, and left us genuinely hurt up until very recently. 

that just means that we’re gonna do everything, and i mean everything, to protect this place. so if you really want to be a mod, know that we all take it very seriously. if you don’t plan on caring about a group even half as much as it’s obvious that we all do, please do not try to become a co mod. 

we only want mods who value a healthy ooc atmosphere, inclusivity, communication, and kindness close to their heart. i may sound really dramatic saying that, but we really mean it. we’d rather have a slower main because it’s just us than have anyone with ill intentions. the process can’t be random because the risk isn’t worth it. you don’t deserve that as members, and we don’t deserve that as mods.  

in an effort to shelter our special little group, we want co admins we are familiar with - or people we’ll get to know, and build bonds with. so if you want to be a mod, we welcome you to come get to know us in a discord group chat. after some time, if we click and the other mods all agree we think it’ll work, we’d love to have you on.
