Music Review Made in Japan by Deep Purple vinyl :
Ok Alright picture its the year 1972 your an American Hard Rock fan .Because the term Metal or Heavy Metal did not exist till the mid 70’s .Prior to this live album unless you had a radio that could get Europe radio stations.The only Deep Purple hits you knew about was “Hush” a cover that appeared on the first album shades of Deep Purple back in 68 .Fast forward 4 years the second line up had about 4 albums out before Made inJapan the last record they would do before the 80’s reunion.Like the previous 4 albums it only had 7 songs ,question of the day is how did they stretch out just seven songs to fit 2 albums, because double albums were big at the time ? The simple answer is by jamming, not a brand new concept , but not that old .Yet another present from England Cream was the first Jam band in rock music .Maybe over all I one is sure not when ska slowed down stoped being rock steady and subways invented…… anyway Made in Japan makes you feel like you are at a 1970’s deep purple show 4 sides and they know how to start each side of the first 3 each song became a hit , Side A “High Way Star” side B “Snoke on The Water “ side C “Strange Kibd of Wonan” all 3 were and are so fuckibg awesome they hit the American charts right away because they opened those sides each song was a bit longer then usual and each hit had a longer now much longer and now live classic to go with it , side 4 on the other hand had only one song”Space Trucking” a 20 minute version also.Over all mind blowing worth collecting and best look on record as what all 5if them sounded like young .
