Adding a Trusted CA for Firefox

Firefox needs to have a certificate from the CA that signed the web server’s certificate, so that it can authenticate the web server.

To import a new CA certificate into Firefox 3:

Launch Firefox and choose Preferences from the Edit menu.

Click the Advanced button.

Select the Encryption tab.

Click the View Certificates button.

Select the Authorities tab.

Click the Import button at the bottom of the screen.

Navigate to the CA certificate and import it. Determine whether the CA should be used to identify web sites, e-mail users, and software developers and trust it for each accordingly.
