I know you posted the 'Truth In Hyperbole' series literal years ago, but as I was hunting through the Hatake Sakumo/Orochimaru tag, I came across it just today and I'm just about to start reading 'Quoth the Raven'

I never knew how much I wanted to read something like that, it's truly amazing! Out of curiosity, do you think you will one day come back to that series? You might have already answered this, but I've only learned of you today and I don't have the patience that would be necessary to search for it

I've also been on a bit of a building spree in minecraft lately, so I wanted to know if there were any temples in particular that inspired the temple that Tobirama, Madara, and thier brothers live in? I kind of want to build something inspired by it lol

Oh yay! It’s always nice to hear that my older stuff is holding up against time. ^_^

Yes, I still occasionally get the idea for a scene from “Truth in Hyperbole”, which I jot down. Once I have enough for a full new instalment I’ll clean it up and edit for plot continuance so I can post it. Because right now all I have is random standalone scenes that don’t make sense unless you’re me and you know what happens before and then comes after. XP

My inspiration is based on temples like “Great Pagoda of Doi Inthanon” for something similar to the water garden I described, while the monastery of “Taung Kalat” is more in line with the architecture I was thinking of.

okay in the tobimada gods au do madara, tobi and their brothers ever meet with amaterasu and the other gods? what with tobimada now having ascended to being gods themselves? and also amaterasu and her brothers being relatives of madara and his brothers maybe they help them learn the ropes? also what exactly are madara and tobi and their brothers the gods of? what do the uchiha think when they see that obito looks like madara and sasuke looks like izuna? what about tsuna meeting her tiny uncles?

... maybe? I dunno... my notes are less about the god aspects and more all about the TobiMada development from after the initial waking up or the Sannin’s Genin Team Bonanza.

WHAT DOES KAKASHI'S NEW DOJUTSU DO? WHAT HAPPENED WITH TOBI AND MADARA'S BABY BROS? I HAVE MORE BUT THESE ARE THE ONES I KEEP WONDERING MOST ABOUT, TBH. -SCREAMING ANON

Kakashi’s new dojutsu has given him the ability to look underneath the underneath! Which means he can see through masks, will always know if the trail is false or true, and also he can now see ghosts and spirits. So Kakashi has the Second Sight now~ XP

As for Madara and Tobirama’s little brothers, they have been growing into their powers. Given that they are minor kami now though, that means that they’re aging a lot slower than humans. Something like for every 10 years they age 1? So even Itama still looks like a preteen and Izuna appears as just barely more young adult than teenager.

So I’m going thru rereading your works ( as I tend to do often) and in Come Away Rin makes a comment on the Uchiha courtship section being 3x the size of other clans. And I love this?! Just the premise that all the clans have different rules and customs that there’s a class on it! Like maybe for Akimichi the more elaborate a meal the more they like someone. Yamanaka are tricky cause they play mind games with everyone it’s the nuance that tells whether your friend or foe. The possibilities!

The secret of course is that you know an Akimichi cherishes you if they share their snacks. And a Yamanaka will prove they love you by being blunt about their intentions and feelings. The Aburame will give you pollinating flowers and honeycomb. The Inuzuka will let you pet their ninken and maybe try to convince you to get a puppy of their own.

If an Uchiha steals organs from you they want you to die.

If an Uchiha gives you organs then they will die for you.

This is the most obvious rule, but is indicative of a fairly advanced relationship. Do not count on it always or ever being this obvious. Because if an Uchiha wants to dance with you then they want your head on a spike but if an Uchiha wants to dance with you then they are willing to have your children. And yes telling the difference between those two examples is exactly as hard to parse as I made it sound.

I read your fic, and let me tell you i did not know how much i needed casually insane Konoha until i read it. Now it’s my headcanon, as well as the uzumaki clan being the Addams family of naruto-verse. Because i’m sure as hell that those redheads’ villages are the original maniac.

Casually insane Konoha is the best Konoha. Join us. ^_^

The Uzumaki from Truth in Hyperbole are descendants of the Deep Old Ones, so your tagging them as the Naruto ‘verse Addams Family is valid. XP
