#truth with consequence

Okay that anon was out of line (I’m guessing they sent that a while ago?) but now I’m curious ? What’s Truth With Consequences about?

That was sent around the time that TWC came out.

In regards to the scene, it is consensual. In fact, Katniss initiates it, but the way the loss of her virginity was depicted isn’t at all pretty and I meant to do it that way. 

The synopsis is very vague so I’m going to put the plot of the first chapter under the bar.

Gale and Katniss get married because well everyone pretty much expects them to. However, Gale doesn’t pressure her to consummate that first night which is okay with her.

But then a year passes and she’s still a virgin. Then the second year passes and there’s pressure for a baby. Katniss feels it, Gale tries to ignore it, but then it gets to her and one night, she tries to seduce him. He leaves and then comes back drunk.

Insert loss of virginity scene here. 

They both regret it because Katniss is not prepared (aroused) and he was drunk, plus they just wanted to get it over with.

One night, Gale leaves in the middle of the night and Katniss follows him.

She sees him in the forest kissing a blond-haired man.

Katniss runs away and ends up running into Peeta at the fencing of the forest.

Hi! So I stumbled upon TWC and I’m confused with what happens with Gale and Al? Do they leave district 12 to be together or do they move to another district? Thank you! Love your writing!!!

Al eventually finds a job in another District and sets up a home. Gale—supposedly distraught by Katniss running off—decides to leaves 12, eventually reuniting with Al. I would say that this takes place a little after the baby is born.

Wow, I did really like Lazy, but I think TWC is one of your best fics.

Thank you! I loved “Lazy” because Everlark was this cute little hybrid of Bonnie and Clyde plus Han and Gisele from The Fast and Furious series.

TWC was written during a hard part in my life (I was having a bad lupus flare) and I think I took a lot of the hater stuff badly but I thought it was good story overall.

Truth With Consequence’s Peeta is so sexy. Was he a virgin in that fic? I love how he was so sexual during the harvest dance, like eye fucking her in front of the entire District and not giving a fig that she was married to someone else. Yummy

And yes, Katniss was the only one.

What story is it for where Delly thinks she can hook up with Peeta but Katniss sleeps with him?

In regards to my stories, which also happen to be the Canon-divergent ones, I’m referring to “Truth With Consequence” and “Riptide”.

It made a lot of sense as to why he was so determined to help Katniss and Peeta. Of course, it fills me with great joy that they named their children Josephine and Theodore, and their respective nicknames were cute. I was happy with how Prim's trajectory changed as well, and I'm glad she was able to find the kind of love that she deserved. Everything wrapped up so nicely for all the characters. This was a wonderful story, so thank you for letting me join you on the journey!

I’m so happy that you enjoyed this story, because it was an interesting piece to write. I never really write stories based in District 12, but, this story was always kind of wriggling in my head and I’m completely happy with how it turned out.

The ending was always in my mind and I’m glad that it was so well received! Also, the story with Haymitch really breaks my heart—it’s really the whole concept of “the one who got away”, and a lot of people can relate to that.

Yes, Prim! She is definitely the most changed due to Katniss and Peeta’s relationship and their experiences in District 12. I almost feel like she needs her story of her own—maybe one day, I’ll write it.

First of all, I'm sorry it took so long for me to finish reading "Truth With Consequences," but I finally did, so I had to leave you a message about it. There were so many things I loved about the way this story concluded, starting of course with the switch up at the train station. I love that Katniss and Peeta ended up in District 4 with Annie & Finnick. Haymitch's back story with Effie was tragic but quite illuminating. (C)
