Repost from @dukeslee using @RepostRegramApp . A few years ago, our family went to Colorado, and made plans to spend the afternoon hiking up a small-ish mountain. It seemed like a reasonable goal, and everyone told us the views would be spectacular. . After about two hours, that mountain didn't feel so small-ish. We reached a plateau with a gorgeous view, and we all stopped to enjoy it. . Sitting on rocks, I think that all of us toyed with the idea of letting that plateau be enough. Our legs were tired. The journey ahead was long. Maybe we could turn back, and call it a day. Maybe we'd seen enough. . But then my husband said to us, "We didn't come this far to only come this far." So we trudged on, to the top, and that's where we saw something we would have never seen from our earlier vantage point. It was as if the whole world yawned open, and we were given a glimpse of glory stretching out for miles. The hard work was more than worth it. Life can feel like a walk up a mountainside. When hard times comes, I am tempted to quit. I want it to be easier. But deeper inside of my soul, where Jesus resides, maybe I want MORE than an easier life. What I REALLY want is for Him to prove Himself bigger than the struggle. Jesus is saying to us, "You didn't come this far to only come this far. Keep going." Keep going. God is going with you. Keep going. A great crowd of witnesses is cheering you on. Keep going. When YOU keep going, you strengthen others who are struggling to keep going. You’re showing them that it’s possible to do hard things. Keep going. Because Jesus will meet you on the plateau, and He will keep walking with you on this journey.
