What a cool week! I am home to celebrate my mom's 80th birthday and it's literally jam packed with lakes and hot dogs and grad parties and stuck in the crevices I have even seen a few wonderful friends. I have kayaked in Keuka lake, ate a speedie chicken sandwich at Canandaigua lake, drove through Geneva on Seneca Lake, ate dinner on Lake Ontario and tomorrow we will likely drive past a few more finger lakes. Also tonight we added the words "Rodeo Clown" to each of the "Before I die" proclamations. I love you mom! I hope you have a fun day and that you laugh with friends and family and spend some time reflecting on what an inspiration you are to so many people. I love this photo of you and your mom and dad. They really did support you and care for you and love you in ways that shaped who you became and who you are and I feel the same way when I think of your love for me and for my siblings. We are all so very lucky in so many ways. If there were a time machine and we could go back to a birthday from a long time ago, I would probably skip the year I was in France and only Sheila remembered your birthday and choose one a couple of years before when we probably spent it at Nana and Grandpops house drinking wink eating fig newtons and playing cards. Probably talking about the upcoming election or the latest garage sale treasure.
