I’m watching the Olympics right now!
Men’s was a splat fest, and I’m not sure what to say. I kind of feel bad for casual watchers who had that as their first taste of figure skating this Olympics. But also, it’s Team’s, so I’m glad the Men got the jitters out of their system NOW rather than later. Then again, that doesn’t actually mean anything since you could be great in Team’s but shaky in the Singles, or shaky in Team’s and shaky in Singles.
I’m sad about PChiddy, but at least he’s in 3rd. Pleasantly surprised about Alexei! I was watching through my local NBC TV channel, and furious that they cut him out. When they returned from the Nathan fluff piece, Alexei had already finished and he was clean. I’m going to have to go find an upload at some point.
I’m kind of not surprised at Nathan? I figured this being his first time on Olympic ice that he would make some mistakes. But that pop was brutal.
Shoma -- I’m glad he’s 1st with his program, but the score...I mean, I guess he didn’t mess up too badly, so 103 is fair. I don’t know how I feel about it overall, though. Maybe I need to watch it again, but I wasn’t feeling the performance aspect as much.
I’m watching Pairs at the moment, and should catch up with comments on that, so I’ll think more on Men’s later.

Since I’m watching these in chronological order and not release order - lemme just say I forgot a lot of the details of the movies. But I do recall a few really good scenes.
The older x-men movies are definitely a bit harder to watch after the newer ones. The new ones just added so much depth to the stories that I wasn’t aware of.
Writing on my google docs apps on my phone while waiting at the doctor... being sick sucks..😩

*deep breath* Well, I finally finished this section of map for my story, Uprooted: Song of Time. This is a small part of Southern Eloae, where 2 of my kingdoms are situated, and where both of my stories take place. Now to start work on a close-up version for myself with notes and plot locations so that I actually know where everything happens in Uprooted, instead of just trying to mentally visualize it...
Also, because I’m an awful perfectionist with anything and everything I write, this post took an hour to write, I kid you not. This is why it takes me forever to get any writing done. Well, my perfectionist tendencies AND the fact that I have a 3 year old AND am currently 37 weeks pregnant. *sigh*
Oh, and I made this map using Inkarnate, for anyone who is interested.
