We’ve seen a blade like this before (Indian team, I think?), and I like that they reuse the concept. Last time the big attack ring made the blade much heavier than normal by increasing its pull towards the floor, and here it does the same thing except since gravity is less the effect is nullified, meaning Eddie is blading normally while Rei is weakened.
The dish is so perfectly suited to Eddie’s blade that I almost wonder if Director Douglas pulled some strings behind the scenes to get that dish and make sure of the PPB’s victory. It could have been a great storyline for Eddie if he realised what was going on and deliberately sabotaged his own blade so he could prove his strength against Rei properly, instead of winning through a random advantage.
