trystan, kidquisitor lavellan. officially should be known as the dad-squad-inquisition
here’s the thing: for a kidquisitor au with trystan, he’d probably be at teh conclave partially to have him be shown what the world is truly like. and why he should accept that he's not a boy like he always claims to everyone (only his sister believes him)
but then the whole thing goes down at the conclave, and this young kid is getting ready to help save the world
first he meets iron bull and krem. the transgender man and the qunari from tevinter and par vollen respectively. the two of them immediately become enamored by this tiny elf kid, who also happens to be a trans guy just like krem. people continue to insist trystan is a girl, but you start being more accepting when a man with big-ass horns is staring you down
then dorian, who flirts nonstop with bull and krem and finds trystan to be adorable; his little developing magic, his ability to be confident in himself, they capture the altus’s heart
and so forms the dad squad
iron bull, dorian, and krem. with occasional butting in from varric and blackwall. trystan will never fear for himself; he's got people backing him up and making him feel safe in a world trying to tear apart every part of him.
