hello, writeblr! I'm Trystan. I'm in my early 30's, non-binary, transmasc, bi/grayaroace, chronically ill, and neurodivergent. My pronouns are he/him or they/them. And, of course, I'm a writer and aspiring novelist.
I try to write a variety of genres, but most of my fiction is speculative in some fashion. My favorites are fantasy, sci-fi, horror, and romance. I usually have queer characters, and I tend to favor non-binary and trans protagonists.
What else? I'm a caffeine addicted vegetarian, I have a cat and a nano cherry shrimp tank, and I'm trying to be more active on social media, despite the anxiety it gives me.

When Oliver was sixteen, his family went on vacation in Florida. And, as he swam, a rip current pulled him out into the Atlantic. The last thing he remembered before he woke up, choking on salt water, was a merman, pulling him towards land.
The story of his rescue and survival made the international news, and changed the trajectory of his life. After all, it wasn't every day that merpeople were discovered to be real.
Five years later, he is the newest employee at Ocean Adventure, the largest aquarium in the Midwest, just in time for them to unveil their latest attraction - the first merman on display for the public.
Oliver plans on using his new position to expose the mistreatment and intelligence of the merman, but his plans are derailed when the new exhibit is revealed to be the very merman who saved his life.

The end of the world has come and gone. And Earth, the battleground between Heaven and Hell, is a wasteland, where the remnants of humanity attempt to scrape out an existence. Creatures from myth roam the land, and the only thing more dangerous than meeting a demon on the road is meeting an angel.
Jack is a lone wayfarer, traveling between ruined cities, hunting and scavenging what he needs to survive. It's a hard life, but it's the only one he knows. He barely remembers life before the end, before the demons rose up and the angels descended and started killing everything.
When he meets Khaeris, the first non-human he's ever come across who doesn't try to kill him on sight, Jack discovers a heritage he never dreamed of.
