The last thing from this month's #trytreats box! I think I've tried stroopwaffels before but I don't know if it was this brand. I think they're usually eaten with a hot drink but it's not really hot drink weather here yet. This was really good, buttery and cinnamony, with soft creamy caramel. I felt like a little something sweet and I remembered the Carlos V bar in my #trytreats box. Unfortunately it was severely heat damaged - @trytreats should really know better than to mail chocolate in August 🙁

A snack from #trytreats ! It seemed a little odd to me that @trytreats included such a slight variation on a US staple instead of a more distinctly Mexican item, but the seasoning is proportioned differently than I would expect from a US chip, so it's at least kind of an interesting comparison. They're slightly spicy and very salty - they'd be amazing with sour cream (no need for a more flavored dip when the chips are so strongly seasoned!).

Those crisp thin chocolate cookies from the #trytreats Indonesia box were so good that I have been trying to get more ever since the LAST @trytreats Indonesia box. (I found some on Amazon, but for more than I can bring myself to pay). They were just as good with @threetwinsicecream cardamom as I thought they'd be, although I think the sesame brittle was an even better match.

This month's #trytreats box is here! This month is Indonesia. One of the first @trytreats boxes I got was Indonesia and I think this is all the same items - a little disappointing to not have new things to try, but this was one of the ones I liked a lot so I don't mind too much - those chocolate thin cookies I remember especially enjoying, and I still have some cardamom ice cream I can have them with, which should be MARVELOUS. I hope there won't be too many repeats ahead, though 🙁

A snack from #trytreats ! I don't remember if I've tried Pepper, although I know I've seen it before. The White Cookie flavor is basically a cookies & cream, but it's different from cookies & cream Pocky - the Pocky version of this flavor has a chocolate stick and smaller cookie bits embedded in the coating. I really like the taste and texture of these and I probably wouldn't have thought to pick them up on my own so thanks, @trytreats !

Those chips from NYE reminded me I had some actual salt and vinegar Tayto crisps from my latest @trytreats box! I've had other flavors of Tayto before (for a while back in the '00s, Fiesta had the Worchestershire sauce kind and I loved those) but I don't remember if I've had this flavor before. They're not as sharply acidic as some salt and vinegar potato chips I've had, just pleasantly tangy. Not a personal favorite, but enjoyable, and a good choice for inclusion by #trytreats .
