I've been inviting those that I know to join, and hopefully there will soon be a music community built in strength and numbers there... I'm impressed by the fact that in less than two months I've already gotten 3.7k views, despite not being a verified member yet (only at 19 of the 50 required followers to receive verification)... I personally never got that much into #youtube, but I began to become interested in producing videos as a member of #tsū and #8app... I can easily see myself using #vidme as my main video platform moving forward... (at Washington Heights, Manhattan)

Were you one of the Tsu / Tsū crowd? Where are you now?

Tsū, the social platform I praised so highly about a year ago has gone dark. It was too good to last I’m afraid. It’s worth reading the full announcement, but this part is what matters in terms of monetisation:

In terms of those who have monetized their content, we intend to abide by what we set out to do and if you have created amounts large enough for redemption, we will remit payments to you in short order. If you have participated in and won any company-sponsored contests, you will be compensated as well. In the next few days we will be adding a button to the site so users can download their own content which will be available until August 31st.

I had some complaints about tsū, but all in all I really enjoyed the community there. I met some awesome people, and felt that I was part of an incredibly friendly group of creative artists. Even though I’ve been very busy this last year and haven’t had time to be particularly active, I always felt welcome whenever I had time to spend there. It’s a sad day :(
