After trying Chris's wonderful hospital mod, everything worked! So I've considered giving the Riverside refurbishment a fully functioning hospital.

sims 2 beta stuff- possibly (very) early pleasant twins!

a good few years ago when i was particularly active, i loved looking for beta content and i had found a video on youtube while i was digging:

now, they sort of resemble angela and lilith.. more so plot / trope wise. but speculation is fun! i might be clutching at straws a bit here but here's why i think it could be them:

with the twins theres obviously the whole storyline about if each is with the correct guy, which is a bit similar to what's in the video. the girl in the joy despret hairdo is in a neat, modestly decorated room, while the other twin appears to have a brighter, red bedroom with one of the maxis Rebel Posters™ (it appears only for a very brief second- here!)

the room between them is a parents bedroom i think (looks like a top of a bed with a pillow) but could also be a bathroom.

from this i would assume that the twin who secures the bag is angela whilst the one with the middle part is lilith. which adds up since the 'modest' twin ends up with the 'rebel' guy (angela & dustin).

now they dont really look like their modern counterparts but they MAY have been blondes at some point.

you may have seen this image of an early lilith and dirk:

but interestingly, in this awesome promo, there is a small panel at the bottom where the same image depicts lilith as a blonde.

i dont really have any other proof other than this (and an early mary sue also being blonde in some pool pictures, ive posted some on here before) so nobody can really say for certain.

its possible that the picture was just edited to go with the rest of the panels at the bottom here as they depict a blonde woman but that seems like a lot of effort!

again, this is speculation with about a metric ton of salt, but at the very least i reckon that the devs had recycled aspects of the story in the video, and it amalgamated into what was in the final game.

Wow. A beta hairstyle that they used in almost all of their renders, but cut out of their games (only traces of the dead remained, such as Darleen Dreamer), while a basic male costume, which was never seen on female Sims. Looks interesting. It’s really annoying that they squeezed so much content)

Objects03 Findings!

I recently went looking through simPE and found a bunch of unused/old memory stuff!

Death of a Spouse (i wish this made it in)

Told a Bad Joke (imagine remembering every single time the negative relationship sign popped up IRL)

An old version of the "caught cheating" memory! I was very excited about this one.

And the regular affair memory. I don't know why they made it keys.

Sims would remember repairing an object for the first time.

Grim looks a little different here, is the model the same in the final game?

A broken engagement ring for being left at the altar

And last but not least, an actual bindle that teen sims would have carried while running away!

I will definitely post more simPE finds on this blog sometime

Ok so I said I’d share Scans of these magazines but I wanna show these 2 screenshots of the sims 2 beta that I don’t think I’ve seen anywhere online.

Referring to the kid and the woman’s arm clipping through the couch.

"The interface seemed rather simple for a long time." (Also I think that lamp seen here was not in any previously seen screenshots!)

The selected sims name is Mortimer, and don’t you think that the woman next to him here looks like it could be Bella. If you ask me I think this might be a beta version of the Goths but this is of course just speculation. Still interesting I think.

Interesting Sims 2 Beta screenshots

so if you don’t know on my stream im playing the og sims 2 base game for a legacy challenge and one thing i found fun is while installing, it launched a lil matching memory game and on the side had little screenshots of “sims 2 sneak peek.” but the thing is like... all the screenshots have to be from beta. almost all them either have unused hair/clothes or are just completely changed premades (but still recognizable) so i thought i’d share some findings

first of we have ol’ donny boy in aspiration failure, and he’s still using an unused hair cut that we actually see in the goth storytelling pictures. that’s what first set me off to “omg these are beta images they didnt even update them”

now we have pt9 and if you can look past the compression, his face is actually pretty different. his mouth is much fuller and wider and his nose looks wider, but still flat. he almost looks like the psp version of him (almost).

next we got the curious bros house and idk if ive seen this on other beta screenshot compilations but their house looks much different. It’s even harder to follow, almost more escher like and peep the little addition on the bottom right. it would be so cool if someone could even recreate this.

finally, this one i find pretty interesting bc that is obviously lilith but... that does not look like dirk but its very possible it could be a beta dirk. i infact love it more than his final build version which literally makes him and dustin look like fighting game color swaps of each other.
