Loving that oil-painting effect on your pics! How do you do that? :0
I've been getting a lot of inboxes about how I edit my screens, so it's time to share them with you <3.
MoonSimmers Action
Sure it isn't the most comfortable way to edit the pictures, but it is the method I know to automate the process without losing the similarity between each one. Tutorial and download under the cutt
TUTORIAL:
1: Select the blur zone with Lasso or Quick Selection. This is perhaps the most tedious and annoying part when I have to edit, but it really makes a difference in the final image.
If you decide not to use it, deselect the first two items
2: Just aplly the action and let the magic happens.
3: Use the Eraser tool to erase the Oil Paint layer in the detail areas. I reccomend use the Eraser with low opacity, I put the opacity on %35
4: Combine the layers and you are done
EXTRA: There is an item that is deselected when you import the action (I think). This is the Camera Raw Filter and it is the last item, it has a pink tone that I used for the Valentine's edits.
I was requested to upload the action i used for my latest lookbook so here it is :D This was VERY heavily inspired by these actions, which i loved but it didn’t really fit the sims. So i made this action inspired by those that fit the sims :)
- DL includes 1 action
- Made in Photoshop CC so it may not work with older versions
- Very important that if you use a standard sims screenshot you make a background layer from the locked layer, or else the action wont work!
- Feel free to tag me in you pics if you use this, i’ll love to see your beautiful edits :D
apricot action - a set of three actions - 1k+ followers gift !!
an outdoor, indoor and cas action
uses topaz clean
adds a ‘sunbeam’ effect
brightens & smooths
tou: you can use wherever you want, you can edit it as much as you want, just don’t reupload it and/or claim it as your own. let me know if you use it :+)
I wanted to create a retro filter in photoshop, and I finally made something that I am satisfied with! It brings out the reds, which I really like, and of course the greens. I suck at naming things, btw; the song “Donna the Prima Donna” was stuck in my head, so I was like eh why not?
Tips:
You should edit your screenshots before using or they will look dark! I tried to include brightness/contrast and hue/saturation adjustment layers, but it just wouldn’t look right, so I decided not to include them.
You can adjust the opacity of the folder if it is a little too extreme for your taste.
Add noise to your screenshots for that vintage look 👌
I made a thing for y’all! It makes your pics brighter and isn’t too extreme (well for me at least). It works well on screenshots taken during the day.
Tips:
If the PSD makes your image darker, just increase the brightness and contrast. (I usually increase the brightness by 12 and the contrast by 15)
You can adjust the opacity of the folder if it is a little too extreme for your taste.
DOWNLOAD (How to use: First download PSD file, open it in Photoshop, right click and select “Duplicate Group…”, and choose the pic that u want to be edited!)
Let me know if there are any issues! This is my first time sharing a download link, so I’m not sure if I’m doing anything right.
