The Love and Conquest BC is looking for Love Interests!

Love and Conquest is a Story-Based-On-Gameplay Bachelorette Challenge based on all of the fantasy, romance, isekai stories I love! We’re missing some important characters though and I’m hoping you’ll help. Now that Harlow has found herself in the role of Harmony, we need some other sims to take on the roles of her love interests!

SUBMISSION DETAILS Each love interest should have two versions:

Fantasy: This version should be a character from the dating sim - and unlike Harlow, they won’t know that they’re in a dream! They should have a distinct role in the story and should be fully in character (at least at the start). This is the version that will appear in most of the BC’s story posts.

Real life: At some point Harlow is going to have to wake up from this dream and hopefully her selected partner will wake up with her! These sims will get to live in Harlow’s actual gameplay save - either as her partner or in another role if they don’t win.

I’ll be accepting submissions until May 8th! Please tag me in your sim’s post so I know to reblog it. I’m really hoping to get at least 6 sims and will gladly accept any more that I receive.

I have all of the packs except for the kits.

CC is allowed! Please keep it maxis match or maxis mix.

Supernaturals are allowed for both versions! But also, their supernatural status does not need to be the same for both versions. (For example Harmony is a talented magician while Harlow isn’t.) In the real world save, supernaturals exist but aren’t super common. In the game though, it is normal to see them - except for demons who are supposed to have been sealed away centuries ago. (So any demon in Adoria probably has a disguise.)

With your submission, please include:

Name, pronouns, sexuality and supernatural status for both versions. (These can be different for each version!)

A description of their personality and lifestyle. NOTE: At it’s core, the personalities should be the same for both versions. However, since the fantasy one is in a dating sim, it would make sense for their personality to be exaggerated or buried underneath a bunch of romantic tropes.

The fantasy version can have colorful/unnatural hair and eye colors. The real life version should have realistic coloring - although dyed hair is alright.

The real life version should have at least one everyday outfit, so I can get a feel for their style.

The fantasy version should have 2-4 looks. One everyday look, one daytime party look (this can be the same as the first look if it is dressy enough) and one fancy, nighttime look that they’d wear to a ball. The 4th look is optional and can be used for a work uniform or a disguise or even a big story moment you have in mind for them.

The fantasy version should also fill a distinct role in the story. It can be pretty much anything except for the king or queen of Adoria. Some possibilities are:

Prince or princesses of Adoria (can even be heir to the throne)

Nobles from Adoria, or royalty/nobility from other kingdoms who are visiting for the season

Wizards working for the royal family or the Wizard’s Tower

Knights, merchants, guild leaders, spy masters

Villainesses, assassins, demon lords in disguise

(NOTE: I may slightly change roles or backstories to fit in with the other submissions and create existing relationships between them. For example, if I get a crown prince and a villainess, they will probably start off engaged to each other.)

Feel free to include as little or as much detail as you like! If you have ideas for their story line, how they could meet Harmony, or even just songs that make you think of them - I’d love to hear it! But most of all, if you do decide to submit a sim, I hope you have a lot of fun making them! :)

ON THE LOOKOUT FOR LOVE: MONA GRAVITY LOCKE!

hello hello here’s another bc coming your way! mona is the daughter of keara parker and jeremy locke, who you’re probably familiar with if you’ve been following my blog for a while. i’m planning to post some of the gameplay i’m doing with her and well ... what better way to find her future spouse than through a bachelorette challenge? o3o

some info about mona: 

- mona is in her very early twenties

- if asked, she’d say that her best friend is her twin brother, charlie

- she’s an aspiring journalist - she’s not planning to settle down in a single place but rather be on the move most of the time, so her future partner should be okay with that! 

- right now she’s doing her degree in communications at britechester university

- while (her) family is very important to her, she’s also very much enjoying her new-found independence

a few more infos:

- this bc will be a mix of gameplay & storytelling. scores will be determined entirely by in-game results, though! 

- i’ll be taking submissions until the 30th of june! there’s no limited number of contestants! please tag me in your post (and feel free to shoot me a message if i don’t reblog it within a couple of days) 

- vanilla and maxis match style sims please! cc is okay! i own all the packs except for the kits & journey to batuu. i’ll also probably give all the contestants the skin overlay i use on my sims just to make them fit in with the overall vibe.~

about the contestants: 

- all genders are welcome!

- supernaturals are okay but i’d prefer them to be light or faux ones

- please give your sim at least one of each outfit

- no romantic trait or romance skill!! but feel free to let them have some other pre-existing skills, talents, etc. 

- please also include a short descriptions of your contestant’s personality & why they’re interested in entering the bc! just a few sentences so i can get a feel for their character!

Nyxa Kilward

Nyxa should have been a nobody. The illegitimate daughter of Lord Alastair Kilward, her lot in life was, at best, to be married off for some small political gain. Ignored and mocked for her lack of status, Nyxa suffered a lonely childhood. She learned how to remain unseen in all the right places, gathering secrets like herbs from her garden. She learned to harden her heart and to weaponise any perceived weaknesses in others.

Her diligent information-gathering eventually uncovered an unbound demon, Igminoth. Sensing an opportunity, she offered it a deal it could not refuse: her body as a vessel in exchange for the power to rewrite her own destiny. As soon as the corrupted magic flowed into her, she branded her own flesh with a binding spell. She retained full control over her body, while still maintaining access to the demon’s powers.

With powerful magic now at her disposal, Nyxa made herself indispensable to her Noble house, and the court at large. A curse here, a whispered secret there, and suddenly opportunities opened up for her. 

The official story is that she was always a mage, trained in secret until she came across a corrupted artifact. While she managed to destroy it, it came with the cost of some corruption.

Nyxa Kilward is an uneasy figure at court - too powerful to dismiss or ignore, too malevolent to trust. Her acid green eyes burn from the corruption within, and the runes she carves into her skin to keep the demon bound make her a striking figure.

Beautiful and dangerous, she’s determined to take the crown for herself. She spun her web, pulled silken strings, and had the Crown Prince within her grasp...

Enter Harmony. The infuriatingly saccharine girl who thinks good things come to those who work hard and play by the rules, instead of those who just take them. Now half the court is fawning over this silly magician, and Nyxa’s plans are in jeopardy. The girl must be destroyed.

And yet, the more Nyxa uncovers about this newcomer to court, the more she finds herself drawn in by her. Her loyalty to a family that perhaps didn’t always value her as much as they should, a quick wit when it comes to sarcasm that Nyxa can’t help but admire, and her determination to better herself... Could it be that the court spider has met her match? Can Harmony show Nyxa a less destructive route to happiness? Or will she expose Nyxa’s secrets and doom her to execution?

A Britechester Fine Art Student primarily focused on photography, Nikki keeps to herself most of the time. The product of an affair, Nikki grew up knowing she wasn’t wanted by either of her parents or their families. Because of this, she keeps people at arm’s length; her clothes, her makeup, her body language, and her scowl are all an invitation for you to get lost. 

But, if you can crack open her hard shell and prove to her you’re not going anywhere, you’ll have a ride-or-die friend for life. She’s very protective of her small found family, the only people she trusts with her heart.

So there they are! I’m sorry it was such a long post, I got super into this challenge and their stories. I definitely got carried away in CAS and fully customised all outfits for both characters, and some categories have more than one, but I absolutely love love love this challenge idea! And I’m a sucker for the Jerk with a Heart of Gold trope in romantic fiction. I think Nyxa might be my most favourite sim ever, and I’ve made a lot of a goth witches haha. I hope you like them!

eli aka the nerd in high school who glowed up. he used to share the same history class with olivia and would sit beside her during class not because he had a crush or anything *sweats* but because olivia clearly needed some help in the history department, of course. eli wasn’t anyone remarkable in high school, he was a soft spoken boy and blended in with the shadows. despite being a very opinionated person, eli was quiet throughout his teenage years due to his low self-esteem and confidence. he couldn’t even come up with the courage to ask olivia out! (he believes that she’s really out of her league.) this all changed when he entered university and made good friends who pushed him out of his comfort zone! he started speaking his mind (which shocked those around him for the first time), and hitting the gym regularly (since he was always so lethargic). he took time into improving himself and is proud to admit that he’s a completely different person now than he was in high school. currently he’s pursuing what he has always loved and is now a freelance artist! when he came across olivia going on the bachelorette, he immediately signed up. he has let her go once, and he is definitely not going to let his second opportunity pass by!

fun facts:

used to doodle and sketch a lot in class (he has some sketches of olivia too, “she’s just great reference,” he says.)

he would help olivia in class whenever she’s lost or is unable to answer a question when put on the spot (he would whisper answers to her hehe)

he took graphic design in university and excelled!! he found his calling perhaps?

blushes really easily (as you can see in the first picture!) he blushes whenever he laughs really hard or is flustered!

he has the nickname tomato-head in his family because of the above fact lmao

he still tries to choose his words carefully before he speaks, he’s really aware of how his words may be perceived by others.

likes yoga a lot, and he’s good at it too! (he’s flexible alright *wink wonk*)

has a younger sister, who he babies a lot. she likes to ask him for pocket money when their parents don’t give her any more, and he will give!

currently lives in san myshuno which he finds too hectic and overwhelming, he would love a more calm and quieter place

Froggy’s birth-name may forever be a mystery, but this one suits him better because he’s ready to come hopping into your heart. He’s also a fan of terrible jokes. He grew up in a very big, very close family in rather tight quarters. The oldest of seven brothers in one trailer home, he was ready to jump into his own life ASAP even though he loves his family. He feels most comfortable working outdoors and bonding with his garden and all the creatures in it. His aspiration is to build a career working with nature and hopefully have a family to share it with!

got the nickname “Froggy” when he was in Scouts, both because he loved playing with frogs but also because kids are mean and told him he looks like one :(
