'Create a brand for the Riley brothers’ drink. You’ll need to consider everything, from the branding strategy to the design to the packaging.'
Riley&Riley Ltd. sell a drink that promises to prevent hangovers – it’s a mix of vitamins, rehydration salts, amino acids that break down toxins, caffeine and one secret ingredient. The company was founded by two brothers from Yorkshire – Tom and James Riley. They moved to London after graduating, set up their company and started manufacturing the drink.
The approachThe main inspiration for this project was the effect alcohol has on the brain and consequently the eyesight. The typeface and graphic elements were created based on this very idea.
The processThe name of the drink (20/20) is placed partially on the front and on the back of the bottle label. The more the user consumes the more visible the logo gets. When the amount reaches the lowest point, the logo gets clear; this subsequently means the user has absorbed all the required ingredients. The most important thing anyone should do to avoid next day's hangover is to rehydrate. That is the reason why 20/20 logo has been placed near the bottom rather than the middle or top of the bottle. The user is 'forced' to drink in order to rehydrate. Also, the bottle is made out of recycled, recyclable thinner than usual plastic that would prevent any accidents from happening when someone is a bit tipsy.

The chief aim was that the user enjoy this experience with more than one sense, and for this reason profound textures have been subtly incorporated in the design. The main inspiration for the solutions has been the form of the olive tree trunk in different ways and applications. The secondary inspiration was the bond between mother and child. The ethos of CARPOS and the project's guidelines were the tools that helped 250 exclusively handcrafted bottles see the light of the day. 750 olive trees in the mountains of Rhodope, Greece have been meticulously preserved throughout the year so that the user can enjoy this evoo par excellence with care, like the way it was produced.
Research shows that olive oil, the foundation of the Mediterranean diet, could slow the aging process in the brain by up to five years. For this reason, we have created #addfiveyearstoyourlife. This is the first of the many awareness campaigns CARPOS is bound to run.
Finally, each of the 250 limited bottles is ready to be shipped individually in its own eco-sustainable packaging, structured with no adhesives. Sustainable printing and materials were carefully selected. The minimalistic organic form of the bottle, the materials and its time-consuming process is what makes it look different. However, the attention to detail and love for what the people at CARPOS do is what adds value to the brand.

En 2009, la presse malienne qualifia Andrea Tsakiris comme l’un des trafiquants de drogue les plus recherchés sur la planète. Un tribunal français de Rennes avait émis un mandat d’arrêt international pour le double ressortissant grec-français suite à la saisie de 3,2 tonnes de cocaïne en Guinée-Conakry.
