The Scariest Thing
Evelyn was playing, it'd been a few hours since Harvest had brought her to this pizzaplex lab. She looked up at Virgo, who was enjoying some tea nearby. "What's the scariest thing that ever happened to you?"
Virgo glanced down at the little girl. "Whatever brought up that line of question?" She asked. Evelyn shrugged. "Harvest said your super powerful, so you have to fight monsters or something." Ah, child logic. Virgo chuckled, shifting to sit down on the floor next to the girl. "Well, it'd have to be my 29th birthday I suppose."
Evelyn looked up, curious. "What happened then?"
Virgo paused for dramatic effect. "I only got one cake!" She explained. Evelyn began giggling. "That's not a big deal though! That's silly!"
Virgo's smiled softened, glancing away. "Well, yes, I suppose it is rather sillier. Could you imagine? Getting two cakes every birthday... and then one year only one, for the rest of your life."
"Could you imagine?"
