Raised by a single mother, Galina Dolohov spent much of her early years with her grandmother in suburb of Paris. She had few luxuries, unlike many of her peers, and spent years daydreaming of finally being able to attend school. While there, she thrived academically, often to the deteriment of her social life. Educated at Beauxbatons, Galina had little knowledge of her father until she was an adult when her half-brother found her and brought her into the family fold. She has now come with him to England and while she struggles to maintain a foothold in the country, she has too much tenacity and drive to simply give up. 

Connections

Antonin Dolohov

Galina hadn’t even known of Antonin’s existence until he showed up on her doorstep in Paris with little fanfare. They shared the same eyes and she had simply known. Galina is fiercely protective of her brother and often ignores the worst of his baser impulses.

Camille Malfoy

Both students at Beauxbatons, the two had known of each other but hadn’t become more acquainted until after Camille had graduated. They have struck up a friendship, though Galina privately wonders if the other woman only wants her for access to Antonin.

Ophelia Greengrass

Galina sees something of herself -- and her mother -- in Ophelia and has done her best to befriend the other woman, though she’s found it hard to bridge the cultural divide. She remains tenacious, however, in pursuing their friendship.

Regulus had often lived in Sirius’ shadow, doing as he was told with no deviation. His brother’s constant faults most always took precedence over Regulus’ good behavior and resentment toward his elder brother began to fester early on. It was not until he was in his third year at Hogwarts that his parents began grooming him for pureblood life, the reason for which soon became apparent. With his brother’s disownment, Regulus has become the Black heir, with all the privileges and expectations that entails -- some of them weigh heavily on him as he struggles to rebuild the family’s image. Often called affable and noted for his dry wit, Regulus enjoys playing the social game out of boredom, having learned how entertaining it can be to orchestrate someone else’s failures. 

Connections

Lucius Malfoy

Most days, Regulus wishes that his cousin Narcissa had chosen a more worthy candidate for her hand. There’s nothing Regulus dislikes about Lucius, per se, but he simply has no desire to converse with the man who is to one day become his cousin by marriage, finding him lacking some unidentified quality.

Rosalind Selwyn

Regulus has known Rosalind for much of his life and liked her for less than half of it, often unable to decipher her true meaning and growing irritable. His cousin’s best friend and hanger-on has set her sights on Regulus, who pretends that he has no idea she has done so. 

Ophelia Greengrass

While at Hogwarts, Regulus had manipulated Ophelia into doing his bidding until she finally realized what game he was playing. He avoids her at all costs now, feeling something close to shame for his actions though he would never admit it.
