QUICK WHAT IS EVERYONES FURSONAS?
"Oh!" Roman exclaims sparkling with enthusiasm, "hold on I'll draw a quick sketch!" and he rushes off to the car.
"How much you guys wanna bet it's not going to be a quick sketch?" Remus asks.
The metaphorical crickets can be heard over all the bids no one is making.
"Aw what no one?" Remus pouts.
"We know when there's a losing battle" Virgil smirks as he too seems to be sketching.
"Wait are we drawing our guys?" Remus makes grabby hands at Virgil, "gimmie a piece of paper!"
Virgil rips a paper from his sketch book to hand it to Remus.
Thomas makes his way over to watch Remus' scribbling, "whas a fursoma?" he asks.
"It's an animal but it's you..." as Remus keeps explaining the furry thing Dee pipes up.
"I... am not great at drawing" he says, "so I'm not doing that - but I will tell you that my fursona is what I call a Snakeshifter."
When he doesn't explain further Logan prompts him, "and would you like to divulge what that entails?"
"If I must - it looks like a snake at first but can shapeshift any part of its body at a whim."
"Oh that's pretty cool!" Patton complements.
Dee smiles, "I know, but thank you."
"I'm done!" Remus shouts, "take a gander at this guy!"
"He's a Ratopus!" Remus grins, "and you may be saying: 'Remus! there's only seven limbs there!' no I didn't forget one, you see the eighth one is his dick and yes, it is a tentacle."
"That's creative" Patton says, "his design is cute in a scrugley way, like one of those small dogs! or a trashy possum!"
"Aw, thank you!" Remus beams.
Thomas laughs, "he looks stinky and funny!"
"Awww" Remus' beaming becomes more touched, "that's the nicest thing anyone has ever said about my little guy!"
Thomas bounces with excitement, "can I have a little guy too!?"
"Fuck yeah you can!" Remus matches Thomas' energy, "let's get some ideas rolling while these dorks talk about theirs" Remus thumbs towards Patton and Logan as he sits on the ground to help the child figure out his fursona.
"Great segue there" Virgil murmurs still sketching.
Patton snickers, "I'll take it! mine is a binturong! but it's blue with tan and pink accents! and cute accessories! I'd draw him out for ya but" he rubs his neck with a little laugh, "we'd be here for hours if I did!"
"Maybe you can later" Virgil approaches with sketchbook in hand, "I uh finished mine."
"I can do that! good idea Virge! and also yay! can we see?"
"Sure man" Virgil smirks and holds out his book.
"Wow" Patton whispers, "that's spooky!"
"Good" Virgil smiles, "he's a cryptid mix of Mothman and a Black Shuck - my two favorite cryptids."
"Do either of those have three eyes?" Logan asks.
"Well... no but Mothmans eyes are iconic and Black Shucks are sometimes depicted with one eye so I mushed em."
"That's interesting, I should look more in to cryptids sometime."
"Oh dude! they're so cool you totally should!" Virgil gushes, "ah - uh but we're talking fursonas, do you have one?"
"I think I will and yes I do which happens to be a boar of russet colouring - they're very intelligent and hardy and they're usually not very well treated."
"That's... a great pick Lo" Virgil says, "how come none of us have talked about this before? it's a shared interest."
"Oh! we should all go to a con someday!" Patton claps fervently.
"Fantastic idea Pattycake!" Roman shouts as he makes his way back to the group, "now I've doodled my sona as quickly as I can so he might not be perfect but I can't be perfect all the time - that would rob everyone else and I don't wanna be greedy."
"Of course not" Virgil deadpans.
"Shush you, here's my drawing!"
"He's a lion dragon hybrid with all of my princliness!"
"That is much more than just a doodle" Virgil and Dee say at the same time.
"You're so flattering, it's merely a sketch" Roman puffs up.
"You're delusional" Dee remarks with jest.
