Word: Maps (8/2) The Selected Works Of T.S. Spivet by Reif Larson is probably the most uniquely narrated book I have in my collection. Main character, T.S. Spivet, is a mapmaker who peppers the written pages with drawings, minute details, and maps to aid the story and plot. It’s been claimed that Larsen was given a little less then one million dollars as an advance from Penguin Press following a bidding war between ten publishing houses. Day 17 of August's #bibliophilebookpile challenge. 'Elementary, My Dear Watson' - Smartest character. 🔍🔎 I guess the obvious choice for this would have been Sherlock Holmes, even though he never used that particular phrase in the books. Instead I went with this book by Reif Larsen. The 12-year-old title character, T.S.
