quick tstac splash things i did today.... spent like 40 mins on each? trying to get better at doing interesting compositions without worrying too much abt little details all the time...

this lore is honeslty kind of outdate so . shrugs
so first off i wanna put it out there. i dont have the hc that lee and hop are descendents of laventon. nothing against the hc but it Is Not Here Ok Thanks !!!
with that in mind.
the lads were actually born in hulbury. and they lived there until lee was about 10, and hop about 4-5. they moved to postwick after their father passed away, and their mum wanted to be closer to her own parents.
lee wanted to stay strong for his mum and for hop, so whenever he was sad he would go and train with his charmander. and he soon met and befriended sonia, who got him into battling.
and not long after that, rose ended up finding out about this random kid with a talent for pokemon battles, and so lee was sponsored to challenge the galar league.
he was interested and excited for it- he loved battling after all- but he wasn’t so sure about being the champion, being a pretty shy kid, and knowing the role would come with a lot of attention. but rose was nice, and the league kept him busy, so he didn’t have to think about his dad or the fact that he was only pretending rose’s attention was filling the grief-filled hole in his chest.
he wanted to make his mum smile again, and he wanted to make sure hop would grow up comfortably, and he did become champion, even if he neglected himself and his friends in the process.
as champ, you can tell he’s tired. but he never slows down, never drops his act unless he’s in complete solitude- and he never lets that happen anyway. he stays busy, grasps at anything that anyone would have him do, just to keep his mind occupied.
he’s 21 and he’s still not processed his dad’s death properly.
he doesn’t know if any of his friendships (raihan, sonia, nessa, piers…) are real or just for the camera, and he doesnt like to bother his family or rose with his problems, so he’s bottling everything up so so tightly.
he’s so afraid to let anything slip that he works himself to the bone, which makes his emotions worse, so he works harder, creating an endless loop that could only be broken by something forcing him to a halt.
he finds it hard to tell the difference between The Unbeatable Champion Leon, Galar’s Greatest Hero And Living Legend and Leon Malik, normal guy, since he so rarely lets himself be himself anymore.
Some people (Victor mostly) refuse to speak to him unless he’s out of the Champion mindset.
He feels stuck- he likes his job, he feels infinitely indebted to rose, he loves battling.. when it’s real, anyway- but he’s so tired. he’s sick of being a face for the media to pick apart and for people to project on. he just wants to disappear sometimes (hence the getting lost. he’s not great with directions anyway, but he plays it up a LOT for the cameras so he has excuses to miss things or be late)
he knows that rose can see him struggling. and he also knows that bede is supposed to be a back-up of him.
He’s a good guy and he’s trying his best, but he’s one paper cut away from a complete breakdown.
as for hop.
he’s a sweet kid with a good heart. but he finds it hard to stand up for himself and he always puts 200% into everything he does- which can be good, but if he fails.. it really stings.
he looks up to lee most of all, but he also looks up to his best friends- vic and gloria. vic is cool, he’s been a trainer for 2 years and is naturally talented with battles, and he has a concrete goal in mind!! glo is energetic and fun, and is more than happy to go with the flow. she’s protective of her loved ones and doesn’t let people push her around.
he doesn’t remember his dad much, but doesnt ask questions so that he doesnt upset his mum or leon.
he’s somewhat naïve, but hates being told so. he knows victor thinks he is, but neither of them say anything. so he feels like hes been punched in the gut when bede reads him in an instant and yells his deepest insecurities in his face.
he’s not sure what he wants to do with his life. being champion might be cool, being a vet like victor might be cool, just rolling with the punches like gloria might be cool, but he doesnt want to step on anyone’s toes. he’s interested in the league, and would be thrilled if he did manage to beat leon and become champion, but part of him wonders if he only feels like that because he feels that people expect him to.
he wants everyone to like him and is worried about upsetting people, even if theyre being mean to him…
he can get stuck on thoughts sometimes, looping around and around trying to think his way out of a hole and only getting more and more frustrated.
he loves his friends and pokemon dearly, but can get into arguments with them over seemingly minor things.
also he totally has a huge crush on victor but he doesn’t even realise it himself.

again.. does it count as cheating if theyre a self insert? anyway here's colma! i dont talk about him much since im kind of shy about my zelda ocs for some fucking reason (esp my selfinserts lol). without getting too much into this weirdo (hes like. me if i was more social and confident haha. and also had magic powers). but a lil thing is well. giving him the lil tooth gap. i have that irl and ive always omitted it from my selfinsert ocs until his latest redesign,,, so,,, ;w; i think he looks cute with it
3-sleeps with a stuffed animal.
MISTER CALLUM LAVALEE . he has a huge collection of pokedolls and theyre all lined up on his bed. he gives every single one a kiss on the forehead goodnight. every night. he mainly sleeps with a BIG ROUND rookidee plush in his arms since its Comfie.
