I started and finished The Star-Touched Queen by Roshani Chokshi and it was such a delight. It snapped me out of my reading slump the pacing was so perfect. After reading her Gilded Wolves series and falling in love with her writing, I wanted to read more from Chokshi. This book did not disappoint at all. The prose was so lyrical and poetic - it was beautiful. It’s a standalone book, even though there are two in the series, with book two following a different character. I didn’t realize that at first, and I like this so much more as an individual read. It was simply a really enjoyable book with great twists, incredible writing, beautiful romance, fully developed characters, and of course Chokshi’s sassy dialogue sprinkled in there. I really loved it, and I’ll be reading book two A Crown of Wishes right away
