Renald Talley of Tennessee State awarded $1,500 scholarship

All in the family. The last Hercules Scholar for the month of October is Renald Talley. Talley is a junior, accounting major, from Chicago, III. 

Upon graduating from Tennessee State, Talley would like to attend graduate school to obtain his masters in accounting, and then take the CPA exam. 

At Tennessee State, he is a Student Ambassador and Vice President of the Accounting club. 

He lives by the motto: “Best way to find yourself is lose yourself in the service of others” – Gandi

Tennessee State junior recipient of $1,500 Hercules Scholarship

Ronald Talley, a junior, accounting major, from Chicago, lll, has been named this week’s Hercules Scholar. 

Upon earning his degree, Talley plans to complete his CPA exam and pursue a master’s degree in accounting.

At Tennessee State, his campus involvements include: University ambassador, a member of the TSU Chicago Club, the social chair of the Accounting club, and a member of the Phi Eta Sigma National Honor’s Society.

He lives by the motto: “Either you run the day, or the day runs you” – Jim Rohn

Aspiring cardiologist recipient of $1,500 scholarship

Have you met this week’s Hercules Scholar? Jaquantey Bowens is a sophomore, biology major. 

Upon earning his degree, Bowens aspires to attend medical school and become a cardiologist. At Tennessee State, his involvements include: secretary of the Honors Council, corresponding secretary of Psi Eta Sigma Honor Society, and parliamentarian in the American Medical Student Association.
