do you have any tips or good tutorial references for someone looking to start gif making?

I don't have links to other tutorials anymore, but I do have a couple of tutorials that I've made over the years if you want to see how I make/colour gifs: here and here.

The first tutorial is quite old now, but I generally still do the same thing. The colouring tutorial is more recent.

As for some tips:

Use the proper dashboard dimensions

Use good quality videos - 720p or 1080p

The gif limit is currently up to 8mb or something, but I save mine up to 5mb right now just to be on the safe side

Use an easy to read font for your captions

I'm not a good example for doing this lol, but use your tags properly! Find out what the fandom edit tags are, and tag other users (maybe ask them first if they would be okay with you tagging them)

Make gifs of what YOU like and have fun :') I know notes are important to content creators, but don't worry too much about the notes and don't give up!!!!! The user engagement on this website has gone way down over the years, and I honestly think it will only get worse, but I will continue to throw my silly gifs into the void and I hope you will too!! :D

Keep practicing - you'll constantly learn new things and your gifs will keep getting better!
