Shiki walked around to stand in front of the couch and looked between the two ‘Izayas’ with a blank stare, “Okay then. Which one is the real Izaya.”

“That would be me, Shiki-san. And I can-”

“Second question, who are you?” Shiki prompted, looking straight at Roppi.

The double’s eyes dropped to the floor, “…Roppi.”

“That’s not an answer, boy. What’s your full name? Where are you from?”

Shingen coughed uncomfortably, “Ah, Shiki-san, couldn’t we discuss this later? Roppi-kun was just helping me disassemble the bomb. Doesn’t that take priority over this little interview?”

Shiki’s seething eyes pinned on Shingen, “Actually, letting an unknown near the weapon seems like the opposite of a good idea. This kid could be working for Yodogiri for all I know. And on top of that, you don’t seem fazed by these two. I’m assuming you knew about this then?”

Shingen fumbled for an answer, but Izaya smoothly cut him off, “Roppi’s past is completely erased, I saw to that. He was a nobody who was willing to be my double. I approached him with the proposal, not the other way around. Shingen helped with the surgery.”

“Izaya, you should know by now that when I interrogate a group of people, and someone I didn’t ask answers instead, I find that highly suspicious.”

“Yes I’m well aware. But I’m on a bit of a schedule and it looks like your people need these two as well. How about you just make this easy on yourself, and just stick a few more guards on us as we go about our business?”

Everyone in the room glared at him, including Roppi and probably Shingen as well, under his mask.
