"I just figured, for our very first official date, and not just a bestie date," You begin, standing in the middle of the hall, "I'd like to hear you geek out on the things you love."

Tsukishima gave you a suspicious look. You sighed.

Things that make me happy? Baking, snails, cryptozoology, games, and horror! ^.^ First date would probably consist of a hike and a picnic! Food is good and anyone that could put up with my love of finding cryptids in nature would make me happy. xD

"You know, they say Himuro Mansion is one of the most eeriest places in Japan," Kenma reads the brochure of the decrepit building as you excitedly drag him through the iron gates.

"Well, it certainly feels eerie," You mumble, shivering a little bit as the two of you cross the threshold.

"According to legend, the family in this mansion practiced some kind of strangling ritual to seal off bad karma on Earth every fifty years. But the ritual got tainted as a lover once saved his maiden from being sacrificed. That's kind of dark," Kenma muttered after reading the introduction passage, "After that, the master killed everyone in the family and then took his own life."

"Kenma," you cooed, turning back to face him, "You'd save me from a ritualistic sacrifice, right?"

Kenma chuckled as he reached for your hand. "Probably not."

“Wh— Hey,” you sputtered, watching him thank the cashier as he grabs the receipt and walks over to an empty table. “You didn’t have to pay for that.”

Akaashi just shrugged, pulling open a chair for you to sit on before taking his own directly across from you.

“I wanted to pay.”

You looked at him curiously, crossing your arms in a huff. “I thought you said this wasn’t a date.”

“It’s not?” Akaashi replied, glaring at you softly. “You know, a simple thank you would have sufficed.

You felt heat rush to your face, a sudden embarrassment you didn’t want to admit beginning to show on your features.

“Thank you..” you eventually muttered out, and Akaashi smiles in satisfaction. Soon, your orders had been called from the bar, and Akaashi quickly stands to retrieve the two iced coffees.

“So, hypothetically,” Akaashi begins, placing your coffee neatly in front of you, “If I were to take you out on a date, would a museum or cat café be better?”

“….Cat café.”
