Merrick:

The wolf warrior was training with the younger ranger when it happened. Again. He lost his control for a second and Tommy was sent flying, into a wall. Again. This had to stop happening; admittedly Merrick’s first thoughts were primarily “oh god don’t let him get amnesia again that would not be good, what am I going to do, i hope I didn’t hurt him too much, poor Tommy”. The usual rambling he found as he ran over to him and helped him up, checking over him.

It was only then, as he had to struggle to get Tommy to even let him because the boy was nothing if not stubborn as hell, that it occurred to him that maybe his concerns were a little more than normal. He actually thought the stubbornness was sort of cute honestly and he pulled back when asked why he was being so gentle. Because he was hurt? Tommy got hurt a lot. So....

Merrick was no idiot when it came to his feelings but being over three thousand years old and being in love with a teenager was not particularly a good thing he supposed.

Tsuki:

Tommy was the first person Tsuki had met in this world after escaping the Doctor, the very first; he had been the first Ranger she befriended, he’d even given her the idea for the ranger cookies. He was basically a brother in a lot of ways, fighting and teasing equal parts, but different too.

The moment she should have come to realize what that difference was came during another of his training sessions where she was watching. It was a favorite pastime; she’d sit back, head in her hands while the boy trained, often trying to make mental notes for modifications to her own fighting style. But today her mind seemed more focused on Tommy himself than the moves he did, not the things he did so much as the way he moved, the focused yet excited look on his face as the martial artist completed moves more kids his age couldn’t dream of trying, he way his ponytail kept swinging around. She was staring and that, once she realized she was, made her stop for a moment and blink for moment before shaking her head. She didn’t understand why, and the thought that poked at the back of her mind of why she might be so interested in looking at Tommy made her blush and push it back aggressively out of what seemed impossible to her. Tommy was like a brother to her, and a frustrating one at that. She could not actually have actual romantic feelings for the green dork, nope, no way.

She sighed and mumbled under her breath. “Besides he has Kim....”

(Is it bad that while listening to Absolute Beginners I totally imagined Tsuki and Tommy dancing together during it? XD)

(On an even cuter note, Dr. O and fossil stuff. Dr. O getting all excited like he does with that cute smile of his. Tsuki seeing this and being unable, and unwilling, to keep from hugging him and telling him he's adorable. Tsuki just loving on Tommy and thinking how cute he is when he's excited by things)
