Remember that weird signal picked up all around the world in 2023 by seismographs that went on for days, like Earth was set on vibrate?
The cause is kind of terrifying, and boy howdy do I wish there'd been a camera around.
For reference, the 1958 Lituya Bay tsunami in Alaska, caused by a 7.8 earthquake-triggered landslide moving so fast the front acted like an air blast, was 1720 feet (524m):
One recreational boat in the bay at the time managed to surf it; the other wasn't so lucky.
