♫ Append let out a long, low, groan; chewing the eraser of the pencil in his hand. He erased the last couple of words he had written, muttering to himself. He had been so lost in his writing that he hadn’t noticed Piko standing there. When he looked up, he jumped, startled by his sudden presence.  “Ah--! Don’t do that.” He chuckled, laughing at himself for over reacting. “Somebody needs to get you a bell or something.” He teased.
