魔法使いの約束, MAIN STORY 1-2, Tsushimi Bunta
[Translation] Anan 12/2024 Issue: Mahoyaku Interview with Tsushimi Bunta and Kazuma Kowo
This is the short Interview with Tsushimi Bunta (Main Screenwriter) and Kazuma Kowo (Worldbuilding Supervision), released to celebrate the 5th Anniversary.
(This same little presentation was posted about a month ago on my twitter! I just figured I may as well put it here now.)
Since mahoyaku is getting an anime, I thought I'd do what I did for IDOLiSH7 back in the day and make a SUPER BEGINNER'S GUIDE for mahoyaku!
If you're unfamiliar with mahoyaku but are fans of IDOLiSH7, Tsushimi is the scenario writer! I highly recommend checking out one if you like the other.
This assumes zero knowledge and is (largely) spoiler-free so as not to ruin some of the surprises of Part 1 of the main story!
See the rest of the character intros below the cut, since it gets pretty long.
[Visual Novel] Nの食卓/The Table of N [English Patch]
Released in 2012, The Table of N (Windows PC) is a free VN by Tsushimi Bunta and Kowo Kazuma under the doujin circle named TARHS Entertainment. In the mobage scene, Tsushimi Bunta is the main writer of IDOLiSH7 and The Promise of Wizard/Mahoyaku, and Kowo Kazuma is the world supervisor for Mahoyaku.
In short, it’s a story about vampires who have lived for far too long.
I really recommend this game mainly to those who play Mahoyaku. There are a lot of similar themes, like the loneliness and the conflict between humans and vampires. It’s a rather short read, which is great since it essentially feels like Mahoyaku compressed in 1-2 hours.
In general, if you’re interested in checking out Tsushimi Bunta’s past writing which still embodies a lot of that subtlety and emotional roller coaster that you can see in their more recent works, this may be for you.
DL links after the jump.
171008 - Arina Tanemura Twitter Update
Here’s a glimpse of the cover and opening color story for the November Issue of LaLaDX “Good Morning, Laughter!” being released on October 10th, 2017 (original by Bandai Namco Online/Tsushimi Bunta sensei). I tried doing the cover traditionally and the opening cover digitally, the extras are 2 polaroid-style cards.
※ Note: Sarah translated the original story Tsushimi sensei wrote here. You can also see more about the magazine here.
Announced in the King’s Pudding Times, Re:vale are set to receive their own manga illustrated by Tanemura Arina and novel written by Tsushimi Bunta! (Spoiler alert! It will be covering their indie days, so if you’re not caught up to Part 3 yet, you should do that ASAP.) Arina sensei will also be illustrating Tsushimi sensei’s IDOLiSH7 short story detailing a morning in IDOLiSH7′s dormitory that was posted on Twitter back in 2016 which Sarah translated for us here. It will be released in LaLaDX’s November Issue on October 10th, 2017. And finally, our beloved Ainana Gakuen is soon becoming a novel! The novel will be illustrated by Arina sensei and written by Sasaki Sadako. Stay tuned~
