it's not that i'm not comfortable with it but i don't want to voice an opinion here without contemplation. besides i have trouble putting my thoughts in words, especially in english ^^'

ah, idk. this topic is a bit too sensitive to discuss without thinking properly about it. and i haven't really thought about it in detail yet, so yeah.

don't worry, don't answer if you are not comfortable with it. Death generally is a sensitive topic but through the years I have dealt with it, I've built up a quite solid opinion.

imo being sad about a death is pretty selfish, huh. do we really pity the dead or do we pity ourselves because we don't get anything from that person anymore (love, attention, money..)? idk i think it's okay to grief but i personally try not to idk.

I think many of the persons here on tumblr grieve because they blame themselves that they didn't/couldn't help or bc it seems morally right. From what I've seen, people here are not that selfish (which might not apply to the outer world).

My point is: grieving is fine - but forcing yourself to grieve a person you don't even know simply because it lets you appear more humane to other users is opportunistic as hell and (imo) makes you exactly the opposite of humane. Which is, an asshole.
