I just have to say that I love your writing. The detail, the depth, the background and the research you put into these stories is just amazing. And the feelings you convey so well from your characters.. Can I be like you when I grow up? (Even if you are about 4 years younger than me..)
Aww, haha, thanks. I am so glad you enjoy it. I do have so much fun, so yes.
I was thinking about it today, in fact, and trying to figure out how much it actually is. I started writing at the age of something like... 7? (I taught myself how to read when I was 4, according to my mom, so I started early?). I wrote my first novel when I was 11, and approximately 30-odd more between then and the age of 18, with countless side stories and other fanfic/etc.
I wrote five of the novels that are now my published books between the ages of 20-22, and spent several years after that editing them. I got back into fanfic in 2012 when I started The North Remembers, which ended up being a cool 617k words and took me two years. And then I also wrote multiple long-ass OUAT fics (TDH and TRAT were 400k words apiece, Lightbearers, Crimson, Incarcerus, etc all 200k) and now am working on my Garcy stuff and other original projects in various stages of completion. SSM was definitely my longest Timeless fic (220k words) but Tangled Web was 175k and who knows how long The Procurator will end up being and....
Anyway, the point is that I write a metric fuckload of things and I always have, and fortunately, people generally seem to enjoy the fact that I do. I like to think that along the way I have gotten pretty okay at it, so yes. Ahem.
