born to a single teenage mother in the south bronx, jane grew up knowing the effects both THE MATTHEWS and THE MIKAELSONS reign on new york city had on its residents very well. she’d seen with her very own eyes how ADDICTION and DEBT to the syndicates crippled many lives or just flat out ended them. she was LUCKY enough to never have to deal with the families. her mother and grandmother never turned to either family for help no matter what they were going through. it was something little jane ADMIRED. 

at the age of eighteen jane began working at the MARBELLA hotel. she hadn’t known it was owned by an ASSOCIATE of the matthews until a year later. one night a body was THROWN from the roof and landed feet from her as she was leaving. moments later she spotted ALAN MATTHEWS leaving as the cops arrived. that was when she connected the dots. she wanted to quit right then and there but out of FEAR she stayed and never mentioned alan and his men being there. that was the night she met sara lance, a police officer ( and her future wife ) responding to the scene.

jane hadn’t had much luck in the DATING department before then due to her vow to not have sex until MARRIAGE and never considered women before but SARA changed her life. two years after they met the pair were married and jane graduated college. the aspiring writer continued working at the marbella and couldn’t be more proud of her wife as she worked her way up the ranks of the force, eventually joined the FBI. 

the couple now have a three month old son ---- mateo ---- and with sara on the task force to take down BOTH syndicates, jane couldn’t be happier to see the families taken down and have a large part of the crime in the city ELIMINATED. but what she doesn’t know is the woman she loves is SECRETLY working for the matthews family. when she does find out, there’s no telling how badly her world is going to CRUMBLE around her.
