Tomb TT209, Luxor’s rediscovered tomb

It was in 1904 that tomb TT209, then known as ‘Hatashemro’ was discovered by Sir Robert Mond and then abandoned - left for the desert of Egypt to protect against time and human enemies.
It was only when the Spanish mission of La Laguna University, led by Miguel Molinero Polo, in the 1980s, that the tomb was rediscovered. The current mission is simply known as “Project two zero nine”, in reference to the tomb’s number in the Theban tombs catalog. The main purpose of this project is to “continue the excavation of the tomb” which will hopefully unveil the different titles of the tomb’s occupant and the comprehensive blueprint of the tomb.
