we might be getting a 6th season... if enough people watch the TTG movie

I saw the trailer for the movie, and it actually does look interesting and somewhat less horrible than other clips of TTG that I’ve seen. I mean, obviously someone is watching Teen Titans Go, because American Cartoon Network won’t stop playing it all the time.

As a mega fan of Teen Titans for many years (now ironically messaging from my TT RP blog lol), and a mega fan of SU since two years ago, it's so great and interesting to view your liveblogs. I love messages like these. A side effect of blogging shows from over a decade ago is that the people who are still around really do love it. I’m excited for Raven’s arc too. 

I notice that they seem to be giving each Titan their own season. Robin got 1, Terra got 2, Cyborg got 3, and now Raven has 4. Problem is, there’s only one season left and two Titans, so someone’s getting left out. This is why we need a season 6. Also, #sixseasonsandamovie

This episode always brings up the question of if Slade had truly known what Raven's potential was in the beginning, would he have ever really bothered with Robin and Terra. I know there's tons of fics about this, spawned from a couple of lines Slade had in this episode. Also, just when you thought Slade couldn't get creepier.

If Slade had known about Raven’s power from the beginning, he probably would have started with her. Actually, Slade wanted to rule the world, so it wouldn’t be very helpful if Raven were to destroy it all, unless he thinks he can control her powers, which might be the case.

The Slade we saw in that episode I’m barely considering to be Slade at this point. He’s just Trigon’s puppet now.

Teen Titans comic stuff

not sure if anyone told you anything or not or how muh you’ve been told about the comis versus the cartoon, but boy are there a lot of differences that can be interesting, as well as stuff not revealed, and I’ll just share some trivia in case. Remember Brother Blood, and how you noted his making HIVE a cult? in the comics, Brother Blood WAS a cult leader who ACTUALLY BATHED IN BLOOD but I don’t remember anything about him other than that. HIVE was a seperate group that were basically just SPECTRE with shades of the Illuminati, with Jinx, Mammoth and Gizmo being an entirely sseperate group of villains working with Dr Light. Finally, Terra…Terra was VERY different in the comics, being not only a member of the team for a good long while, but basically being their enemy from the moment she showed up. It’s a shame the cartoon didn’t have her be a part of the team outside of the story arc episodes, could’ve been quite neat. The big difference was comics Terra 1) had almost full control of her powers and 2) was a sadistic sociopath working with Slade from the beginning who ultimately accidentally killed herself trying to murder EVERYONE rather than perform a self-sacrifice to save anyone compared to the more heroic cartoon version. Oh yeah, the comics were also WAY darker and somewhat more adult in places/implications. Also, not too sure if the cartoon actually extrapolates on Slade’s appearance/origins or if anyone mentioned it already, but if it’s okay I can tell you a bit about that too, but…I’ll wait a few episodes and/or for your approval for said stuff.

Cam: I can imagine that when some CN executive got to the “bathing in blood” thing, they thought “This is like a twelve and we need to dial that back to at least a seven.” 

I miss the HIVE squad. One of the problems of having new villains almost every episode is that you forget most of them (although at least you don’t have to keep wondering how they break out of jail all the time like in Kim Possible). The Hive squad are some of the few that actually sticks with me… Well Gizmo and Jinx at least. Sorry, Mammoth, you’re not that memorable. 

Yeah, there weren’t really any episodes where Terra was actually part of the team. She returned in Titan Rising and left two episodes later, and the episode in between was Winner Take All which only the boys were apart of. I have heard some things about what was going on between Slade and Terra in the comics and it sounds all kinds of fucked up. 

I still have no idea what the hell Slade’s origin story is. Same for most of the Titans.

So Val Yor is a dick, but Starfire seems to be, unfortunately, far too used to this. The robots weren’t really that much of a threat. Hell, Slade’s robots we’re scarier than these bozos. It’s nice that Cyborg and Star had some more time together. Their interactions are probably the rarest of any pair of Titans.

I give this episode an 8/10

For a moment there I had a quick worry of “What if this isn’t a bomb and instead just give him control over all the robots so he can can take over the universe”, but I don’t think there’s enough time left in this episode so that’s probably a false alarm.
