The Ties That Bind Us

Logan listened to the sounds of chatter amongst other grocery shoppers. It was mostly about how their weeks went and what to cook for dinner that night. Nothing new. She enjoyed the time she had to herself. The mundane things like doing laundry and grocery shopping made her feel somewhat human. She’d smile at other shoppers as they were blissfully unaware of how fast she could put a bullet in their skull. 

The blonde pushed her cart into a random aisle as her eyes landed on a familiar stature. It was the same man that brought wetness to her very core. She kept behind him, noting that he kept dropping his items. The clumsiness she found amusing.

“So tell me Hansel. Are you droppings things purposefully?” Logan bent down to pick up one of his items. She held It out for him to take but instead took a step closer to him, the vixen placed a palm over his chest. The woman relished in feeling his firm body right beneath her fingers. He smelled tantalizing. She gently pushed his back into the aisle, knocking over cans of soup in the process. Logan loves to teased. It gave her a power high she never came down from. Lowering her voice to a mere whisper for just the two of them to hear, “Leaving a trail of breadcrumbs so Gretal can find you?”

personality: you’d never expect raine to be the way she is, with the perfect family, and the perfect disciplinarians at her hand. raine, with her perfect grades, is a rebellious teenager, with an 18 year old boyfriend and a tattoo her parents don’t know about. raine is going places, but only as far as she takes herself, because the pushing from her parents isn’t doing her much good. 

physical description: short brown hair, cut into a bob, with glasses much too large for her face, dimples, a rarely seen smile, quite a small stature at only 5′1″, much too skinny.

Ties That Bind Us (Chapter Six teaser)

“I thought you wanted me to join you in choreography, but if you’re too busy-”

“No! No. Yuuri!” Victor grabs his hand as he turns away, stifling another laugh. “Come on. I thought of something the other day and thought you might like to try it.” His fingers are caught in Victor’s as he pulls him onto the rink and away from the boards, safely encased in gloves to keep the chill off, which also keeps the warm sparks from radiating from the point of contact.

“That sounds vaguely ominous.” Yuuri wishes, just once that his brain to mouth filter would kick in before he speaks, but Victor stops in his tracks and turns to him.

“Well I never promised to go easy on you.” Victor’s eyes trail over the length of him, “And I’m not sure I’d want to.”

Yuuri’s thought processes derail for a moment. It’s either the very obvious once over Victor gives him, the tone of his reply which drips with promise, or the suggestive tilt to his hip as he moves very deliberately in Yuuri’s space. Maybe all three?

“Uh.” Victor doesn’t stop moving into him, he keeps coming until their knees are in danger of knocking.

“Don’t be too surprised, Yuuri. You promised to help me with my inspiration- and I’ve been thinking about it for weeks.”

“A-about…?” There’s no way Victor can miss the way Yuuri stumbles over the word, nor the catch in his breath as his gloved hand clutches at Victor’s bicep, momentarily unbalanced by the sudden proximity. There a heavy pulse of something over their connection that has a shiver crawling up his spine, Victor’s hand drifts to his cheek, his thumb dipping at the bow of Yuuri’s lip.

“So many things, Yuuri, but mostly...” Victor’s gaze is fixed to the progress of his thumb, Yuuri’s heartbeat ratchets up at the contact, even though the tip of his fingers are safely encased in gloves Yuuri can feel the ghost of the sparks that should be careening between them.  “Mostly I’ve been… thinking...”

Chapter Six, aka that time Yuuri was not that oblivious and Victor was a thirsty boi... because of reasons.

Nikiii how are you?? You've been so quiet, you're not even reposting anything are you dead?

Just kidding I don't wanna nag you or anything I actually came to share a thought.

The last 4 chapters we knew more or less what would happen in the next chapter, because it was all one weekend and we knew the party was coming but we know nothing about what happens after pt.2 of the club. I'm so excited and interested to see what you came up with. Like is it going to be at the house? somewhere else?? is there gonna be a time skip??? are we gonna see Gideon??? I wanna knowwww.

And I'm supper excited for masqarade, litteraly I get a little thrill of excitement in my chest every time I remember we're gonna get it so soon (even if not 3rd of may don't worry bout that).

Hi!! I am very much alive haha thank you for your concern. My disappearance was due mostly to me being super busy with work and other irl responsibilities. It's been a hectic past few weeks which is why I needed to beg for some more time before posting chapter 10 😅

So! I had originally mentioned this fic was gonna cover a really long period of time (over a year, I think?) but I changed my mind on that. It now covers only about 6-7 months, so from November - May. We're currently in late February, to put that into perspective. So there aren't any super huge time-skips coming up (at least, no more than we've already seen eg. jumping from one month to the next).

We spend a lot more time away from Grimmauld in the next few chapters, which I'm pretty excited about! And yes of course we get to see Gideon again! I actually really, really like Gideon's character so I'm happy that he was so well received by you and everyone else lol. I know I've said basically nothing about the sequel aside from the fact that I'm working on it, and that's because the precise details of what it's going to cover are constantly changing at this stage. But one thing that is definitely happening is that Gideon is gonna be around a lot more as his own fully fleshed out character in a way that he isn't right now. Right now he's more of a plot device, lol. But he makes an appearance in Chapter 11 and Chapter 12. Since Chapter 10 is being posted so soon, I don't mind telling you guys that Chapter 11 is called The Art Show and I am SO so excited for this one in particular (I shall give you one hint: Sirius is jealous AF!)

And if you guys enjoyed that scene of R/S on the staircase in Chapter 9, then you are gonna LOVE Remus in the next few chapters!

I will also tell you that R/S are leaving London entirely for a bit in Chapter 13, and going on vacation! Fair warning from now though: remember when I said that there is gonna be a moment where the tension/lack of communication/unresolved issues comes to a head, and R/S are essentially forced to confront everything they've been pushing aside? These chapters are where all of that takes place. Y'all are very, very close to having a lot of answers about Sirius' past, his relationships pre-remus, and why he does the things he does :)

(I/ sorry for how incredibly vague all of this is lol, but I tried to refrain from mentioning anything that might be too much of a spoiler!)

As for Chapter 10/The Masquerade, I really wanted to get it done tonight but I think what will most likely end up happening is that I finish writing it tonight, and spend tomorrow editing it, so it will actually be posted tomorrow night 😅

Chapter Two is live!

Preview: 

Shouto sighs as he runs his hands over Kotetsu’s back, feeling the cat arch up into his touch before walking over his chest and butting his head against Shouto’s cheek. Shouto smiles, turning to bump his nose against Kotetsu’s, who meows back softly.

Shouto glances away, looking imploringly at the ceiling, as if it can solve the problems he’s gotten himself into. He was only able to sleep for a few minutes before wakefulness seized him again. The sun peeks through the curtains and warm rays heat his skin, allowing him to sink further into his thoughts. Kotetsu stretches out beside him, basking.

Izuku putters loudly about the kitchen and Shouto takes a steadying breath when thoughts of his fiance drift into his mind. Izuku isn’t particularly skilled at hiding his emotions like he thinks he is. It’s something Shouto has been meaning to mention. He could physically feel the anger radiating from his shoulders when he walked away, and it left a cold, aching weight in Shouto’s gut.
