(Affairs FAQ under the cut)

Hey there! I made a few constructional edits to the Affairs series as it's posted on A03:

> This Thing Between Us (the original one-shot) has been renamed to Affairs.

-> The Haven Hotel (the second installment has been renamed to This Thing Between Us.

The one-shot that was The Haven Hotel, now acts as Chapter 1 of the long-fic (hence the rebranding).

I tried to make this as seamless and uncomplicated as possible. I'm posting this here to help limit any panicking when someone goes and sees the fics 'missing' They aren't missing! Just renamed :

I also made no edits to the original This Thing Between Us (now called Affairs). though it will act as a separate entity from the long-fic.

The breathplay is one of those things that's been at the back of my mind since I started writing the fic and literally every time I write a sex scene where Sirius has his hand around Remus' throat (which happens pretty often, I think?) a part of me is like...... what if?👀👀👀

i'm thrilled that y'all noticed and also enjoyed how mean sirius was in 'saturday night high' lmao. there's so much more of that to come! my goal was always for him to be stricter/more demanding/more intense as their relationship developed and their trust in each other grew. as a result, the sequel is much kinkier in a lot of ways, i will say that much 😅.

i am OBSESSED with remus in lingerie omg. there are so many possibilities 👀. there will be a few instances of remus wearing lingerie in the sequel but i also wanna write a bonus scene/one-shot of the first time sirius has him wear something like that (because the party wasn't the first time). there is a woefully underused full-length mirror in the playroom that would be a lot of fun for a scene like that. so yes, the chances of remus in a full lingerie set are very, very high 👀🤭.

i don't have plans for this vacation! it's rather impromptu, in that i really would've preferred to take my long vacation in October around my birthday which is when I will actually have plans (big believer in celebrating my birthday all week long), but i just literally couldn't do it anymore lmao. i love my job (like seriously it is my dream job) but it is so overwhelming? and well my mom is a teacher, so she's currently off for the summer (it's just july/august vacation here bc we don't have the actually summer season lol) and my two younger sisters are also home from school, and my dad is WFH/self-employed, so it was literally only me waking up early every day to slum it for eight hours in an office and i felt sad and had major FOMO and missed them lol. so. i am going on early vacation 😅

i have a few shorter fics lined up that i really wanna read, and i want to make time to go to the beach because it's been months since i last took a beach trip (which is terrible of me, because there are like 5 of them close by lmao). and of course i wanna get some writing done. but i don't have any actual 'vacation plans' aside from spending time with my family. i hardly get to see them lately bc of where i work 😭. i might convince them to do a little day-long road trip though. we'll see how it goes. this vacation is really just me taking some time to like... reset my nervous system lol.

Will the chapter be out next week?

i'll be on vacation all of next week (not an actual vacation lol because i am broke, but i will be at home and not in the office) so i'm hopeful and fairly positive that it will be! i'll have a lot of time to write, at least.

that being said, chapter 15 has like... a LOT that it needs to cover (i mentioned a while ago that it's the last real chapter of the fic; chapter 16 is basically a long epilogue/smut scene and chapter 17 is a short epilogue where we meet Hope). this is part of why you guys got the Saturday smut one-shot lol. i have spent this week mostly pretending that chapter 15 doesn't exist because it scares me 🙂🙃.

so. yeah. i'm hopeful i can finish it by next weekend, but realistically i am aiming for the 5th/6th of august (two weeks from now). i will keep you guys updated if i realise it needs more time though 🫡
