A man alone, walking endlessly towards a salvation he will never reach.

Where was he? Why was he trudging towards that ominous black structure on the horizon? I'll never know. This is the full dream: In some strange world was a strange thing, dressed in a spacefarer's suit of generic design. The "man" walked, or rather limped, through a desert of organic machinery. Pillars of bone, metal, and sun-baked sinew crowned his path. There was no "dirt" here, just the dull biomechanical heaps. He trudged along, dragging a leg slightly. The pain of his injury did not matter, only the black, tower-like spines in the distance. He kept walking forward. Then there was a crack somewhere below him, and before the lightning-pain could fire up his spine he crumpled toward the sinew below. He writhed in the faux-soil for a few moments. I was not in this dream, but I saw everything through his eyes. In this moment I felt his horror, he knew he could not make it to this "place" he had suffered so long for. He didn't struggle for long, and succumbed to complete despair, a foggy black void taking his vision.
